I've got a 461 on a 25" bar at the moment, but have got a 20" sugi hara bar to go on asap!
  2. Cool cheers for that. May get a kit like one of these in the future: Trailer Kits then all i need is to make up a frame for it!
  3. Which model of hondas are you using? I'm looking into getting an 18" cut one and not sure which model to get, izy, hrh, hrx etc
  4. Sorry to hijack your thread a bit but just wandered what parts and bits you needed to make up this trailor? and where did you get them from? As would be very interested in doing this myself as well!

    jonsered 920

Has anyone got an old 920 they would be willing to sell? I have one at the moment but need another for spairs to repair it. Can't seem to find anyone that does spares for them anywhere! Alternatively does anyone know where i could buy spares from, or where i could get these part numbers from: 504 12 08-02 CARBURETOR BOOT 503 08 25-01 This is basically what i need: Chainsawr jonsered 830, 920, 930 chainsaw intake manifold boot with connector sp Cheers guys!
  6. Any chance of a link to the door furniture? i've been looking for hinges like that myself for a while.
  7. Would there be anything i could do to my husqvarna 50 myself? I've been thinking about getting some of my other saws modded but thought i'd try it out on an old saw that i'm not worried about first to see what sort of difference it makes.
  8. What sort of felling cut is that? and whats the reason for using it please? Cheers!
  9. Ok thanks a lot for that. Just one more question when i make the first cut down the middle of the trunk (or in this case 1.5" of centre) i will have to try to make that as parallel to the centre of the tree as possible then? so everything lines up (if you see what i'm trying to get at!) Thanks again, James
  10. Ok thanks, would it be best to cut the log exactly through the middle first then? that would mean the centre is taken out so the posts i then make from the halfs should be less likely to split? Also i want to mill a few smaller posts say 3" by 3" would it be best to mill a plank 3" thick and then cut it into posts after it has dried or cut it into posts and then allow the posts to dry?
  11. I have a large oak trunk that i want to mill for Oak posts. Just wandering what is the best way to cut the wood to avoid splitting when the posts are drying? Is there a specific method? Cheers, James.
  12. How often do you service it? every year or at the proper mileage? out of interest?

  14. You couldn't point me in the direction of which bearing you think it is so i know what i'm looking for please? https://www.j-thomas.com/Portal.aspx?CN=332D35A4B22A&MODELID=B11AC53F0A29
  15. If it was that, would it cause the hedge cutter head itself to wear more rapidly? as this year one has already had the bearings go!
  16. You mean items 21 and 22 in this image? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=4137+711+7300&client=firefox-a&hs=XYN&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=ajjQUonHCNLT7Aabo4HoCw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1280&bih=598#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=Oqgqk2CswfuwbM%253A%3Bb5ZQYwq9CjQ-fM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.magic-parts.co.uk%252Facatalog%252FFS120_2.gif%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.magic-parts.co.uk%252Facatalog%252FStihl-FS120.php%3B540%3B453
  17. Some really nice work up here! especially that conifer hedge which bulges out at the top! What do you guys charge per hour for hedge cutting? and does this include taking away the rubbish or is this extra? Cheers James.
  18. Thats good going! may keep mine as its only at 103000! How many miles do you think transits gor for? and still be reliable? as we do a fair bit of travelling in a day sometimes (up to 2hrs) so don't want to keep an older transit that may let us down.
  19. Done that! and i put in a new shaft incase the old one was worn! Could it be a bearing going somewhere?
  20. Yup, Yup and yup! So still not sure...
  21. I have a stihl fs100 long reach hedge cutter. But recentley it seems there is more and more vibrations in the handle than usual. The hedge cutter head is fine which is normally what goes, when the bearings start to get worn and break up. So i'm not sure what it could be. I don't want to start pulling it apart before i have a few ideas as to what could be the cause of the vibrations. So anyone got any ideas? Many thanks, James.
  22. I would if i hadn't lost it somewhere! Just Pm me with any thoughts you have!
  23. Where abouts can you buy the jd from? there don't seem to be any sellers near me (Hampshire)? I'd like to have a look at one before i decide which mower i go for.
  24. Yeah that would be great. It would good to at least see one, even if not to trial one sometimes you can just tell after looking round a mower whether it will suit your needs or not.
  25. Cheers for the offer, i may take you up on that sometime if i don't get something sorted out before the season starts. I'm in Basingstoke Hampshire. My local dealer won't let me take any out for a test run which is anoying! Where abouts did you trial the AS Motors? If its not that far from me it may be worth me going there. Cheers, James
