  1. Requires a bottom stop bar if it's over 600mm above ground level yes.
  2. Terry Bennett is the guy who you want to ask. I think the cost was around £5000.00 to get two 100ft poles up.
  3. It's because the feed hopper is lower so it only requires a top bar. Much easier to feed long branches in with less stop bar hitting.
  4. 19-28 greenmech its the tail board it becomes the support.
  5. A small job this morning Just had to strip out the roadside because of a phone line then dropped them into the garden 6 ft below. Hard graft getting bits to the chipper.
  6. Postcode is nr29 3bl Dave. That's a strip joint you've put in.
  7. This morning we finished off a council job. Then we went and set some anchor strops (access/rescue and belay lines) up for the instructors to use for tree/rock climbing. Also the instructor was the archery girl/body double for that girl from the hunger games.
  8. I like this one of me climbing
  9. Very jealous of that lunch Steve. Spotted this very old wisteria the other day and a few oak apples. Oh and a little burn up in the fire bund.
  10. Such sad news, my condolences to all effected by this.
  11. Hahah yeah. Honestly it's possibly the best first aid arb course I've attended.
  12. Today I was on an arb aid course by Grieg. We also bought an arb aid kit and I really think it's great. I know a lot of you might say cost vs a standard first aid kit but I think this is a well thought out product. The Course delivery has been brilliant and I think it's one of the best tree related first aid courses I've been on. It was a real sobering thought that in reality it will take a minimum of 15 minutes for a rescue to be completed. Thus self rescue and practising one handed bandage administration in the tree is possibly the most practical method of rescue. In my opinion.
  13. Shaun Gilbert is in Norfolk. Not a member on here but might be worth a shout. Spirit of Norfolk I think is his company name.
  14. Eyes hopefully
  15. A complete site clearance today.
  16. A nice job before the rain arrived.
  17. A few from today. The holm oaks top had cracked the main stem from the wind today. so we decided to pollard it rather than removal.
  18. All bought of a guy who makes knives. English knives I think they are called.
  19. So I bought some lignum vitae. I had a good few hours mainly playing and learning. Nothing fancy just perfectly moulded to my own grip. Any hints or feedback welcome.
  20. M8 mark and I did it up without gloves too.
  21. Had to remove a wingnut today and pin back 2 small beech trees.
  22. Enjoy it everyone. Just be prepared to be in awe of the kapoc trees. I've never been 70ft up and looked at a 6ft truck section before. Sadly family stuff prevented me from being able to come along this time.
  23. Your most welcome. Already been in contact with Gordon. I need it in my life so badly.
  24. Great show as ever. Great to see some old and new faces and weather wise for April we were spoilt. I even got sunburn somehow. Anyway a few pics I took from the platform. And a few from other bits. I'd also like to say the srt masters tree was a blooming hard climb but a lot of fun. Up, down, redirect. Cheers to rich for letting me have a go on his dog bone. Mark, john, ben and Adam on top form. Good to see Steve too.
  25. Just one from today. I had to reduce the leader of this lime and give it a little tickle for aesthetics. It's naturally retrenching itself but also needed a little bit of work to be safe due to the footpath.
