  1. Lovely pics rich, loved the last one. Finishing off a site clearance today. Then quickly milled a yew in half to turn into mate pieces, taking the gruffalo mouse to a trade show.
  2. A few from the weekend and this week so far.
  3. I'd of never ever jumped off that bungee jump. Fair play pal.
  4. I've got to say this but it's rare a tree pic is upstaged by the background. But crikey that's amazing.
  5. Took some attachments to site today. Thankfully the pallet tines arrived late last night.
  6. Cracking picture :thumbup1:
  7. Yeah true, I think there will always be a need but like other things technological advances take over. It's was really jaw dropping seeing how good everyone is and the cross cut having to produce two matching cuts at a parallel to the log, which is at an angle, twice was just crazy skills to see in the flesh. Oh and for those wondering I did the bar and chain change in 1 minute 22 seconds with a bog standard 390.
  8. So the last few pics of the weekend. Probably the hardest competition ive ever done. (before anyone asks.... ive done UKTCC, 3ATC, Cutters and Climbers and most levels of pole climbing). I started today off at 0 due to the fell getting hung up and myself timing out because of it. Through nerves i accidently put the bar back on the way it came off and gained a -50 points, wiping out my points i had. Combi and precision cuts i actually did alright. Then finally the limbing pole...... well..... i got 334 points and penalty points of 340 so ended up last place with 217. But im super happy with that as ive never done it before and hopefully next time should be a lot better.
  9. From today, peter fox doing his thing. I scored nil today as my felling tree got hung up so I timed out. Shame as the cuts were pretty good and I had to bar and a half my tree. (Brought a small bar by mistake). Good fun and really interesting trying to make the perfect cut. I can't remember the guy doing the bar a chain but hell he was quick.
  10. Cheers Paul, I'm competing in the UK loggers for the first time today!! I will stick some of my terrible skill up later.
  11. A few from this week.
  12. A couple from today. The final one is where I had to go rescue someone on a high ropes platform during a wedding I was at. I was playing around with the petzl Id so I was ready to just wiz up the pole.
  13. A willow reduction first thing this morning. Then off to meet the enforcement officer for a cut back to the boundary of 2 limes. Came out better than I hoped but it was very hard to achieve anything other than that.
  14. You owe me a fiver!! So as I owe you a fiver well call it quits.
  15. You've changed! I'm now ripping down my hero picture of you and replacing it with Harry styles.
  16. How many seconds to fill that truck.
  17. Myself, Chris gill and groundhog are the test bed for them. One North, one East and one south. Wales has a lot of big machinery so a low market possibly.
  18. Cheers Jon. One small mess up I did was not check the music against websites. I really wanted to show what the skid steer can do as I get a fair few enquiries about hire. I think it's abilities get lost in translation because people go well I'd cut that and handball it. Generally they go out at £325 + vat with an operator for a day and Vermeer are making a list of hire contractors nationally too.
  19. To be fair Benn I think the one you have in the States would of been better for half this site. Just the steep terrain for the little skid steer.
  20. Ohhh yes, I've got a standard bucket, scrap grapple, log grapple and pallet tines. I thought the footage showed how much material a skid steer on hire will do in a day. Baking hot day but always fun with this group of guys and girl.
  21. A couple of days felling in advance of a large scale restoration project.
  22. 😅😅haha
  23. I normally have one before, one during and then one after the job. I then get the lad to drive me home.
  24. I now post pictures just to spite you benn
  25. A ancient oak failure we had to clear up this evening. Glad I was able to borrow the farms merlot. We moved the timber into a bit of woodland copse and left it as there was a beehive and heavily decayed so good for the bugs and beasties. Also I left the stump as it was. That and I didn't fancy messing around with a 6ft stump.
