  1. A quick row of conifers and a mature ash to remove. Then a quick call out on a wind blown acacia.
  2. Hahaha he clearly had a lot of faith in it. Could of been a coffin.
  3. That looks amazing. I can see it now. "Trees and river tours"
  4. Marshland = a lot of carrying stuff. 😂 looking forward to using it for dragging lumps out.
  5. Now trying to convince the wife I need this. Shouldn't be that hard as I convinced her I need a unimog.
  6. And amphibious?
  7. Not hard, just painfully slow. You need 6t of force to rip it free from the riverbed, once free a single line of 1t force is all that's required. Done a lot of this type clearance now so thankfully I'm pretty versed at getting them out. Ignorant canoeists are the biggest problem when using a dynamic rope for its elastic force they don't/won't stop.
  8. Emergency call out for the environment agency today. The last picture I need to direct the winch line downwards because the lift line was too high for the feed into the winch. Had to improvise because all of the pulleys and strops were in use. Worked well but not ideal.
  9. Indeed I quote all commercial works with a cost to leave in a pile and clear from site. Must be 12t of chip from the first section.
  10. Making conifer into tree glitter this afternoon.
  11. A before and after shot of a section of clearing we did on a old mental hospital site.
  12. Cheers ed, I'll have you on speed dial
  13. Cheers Steve, couldn't of made a decision without your advice. Greatly appreciated.
  14. Just said that to eliminate all the buy it comments when I was deciding. Saved about 1000 notifications.
  15. It does. Yeah not really looked into the hiab too much but bought it at a great price. It's definitely a u1000 though. Got the rear pto box to fit, road tyres and a 16ft manual extension on the boom. But my first mog so any info and advice would be fantastic.
  16. U1000 yep.
  17. Pretty sure. I will check, it did lift an approximately 4t oak log at a bit of a reach.
  18. So I've finally joined the unimog club. Just got to give it a bit of work, chip box, a rear seal and full service. But the 10t hiab was the deal maker for me as I plan to get a low loader trailer to take kit to site on it too. Anyway this is before I've done anything.
  19. Nearly finished the easy section and a quick couple of jobs.
  20. A quick conifer removal. Then shot over to the lads to help collect the last of some wood off site. Also some from a site clearance we started.
  21. Last nights only picture I managed to get. Now off for the second attempt on the 200m zip line.
  22. Will do, now off to the campsite bar for round 2 of evening drinking.
  23. A couple from arbcamp I didn't take a lot as I was busy playing around and hopefully someone will post the 200ft zip line rich and Craig setup.
  24. Early start for a commercial hedge cut. No befores sadly as it was a rush job.
  25. Just personal preference really. I've used grcs a lot in the past and I know it's more than capable but have always thought it looked fragile in comparison.
