  1. A call out from this afternoon. Large cherry failing at the graft by the looks of things. I then picked up the new radiator for the skid steer and charged my iPhone with the new mobile battery charger.
  2. A few from today. A lateral weight reduction on and oak and a few little fells. We used a high point in the oak to run a rigging block so we could save a long drag by lifting a cherry tree out in two bits. Adam got a video.
  3. It was £150 per person then the kit was over £300. People do bang on at cost but it's also got a text reorder service too. He comes to you if you have 6 people. We just found a site to do it at.
  4. Here you are john, after I cleaned it up. Tiny nick!!
  5. It's an arb aid kit. Brilliant and especially if you do the aerial rescue training first aid. I heard on Facebook this kit helped save a life last week.
  6. I know!! Just tapped a fat vein I guess. Matt thought I'd cut my had with the top handle.
  7. So over the last 2 years we've been slowly reducing this oak as it been suffering from water logging. It was terribly sparse when we first visited with a lot of deadwood on the lateral limbs. We shortened them and allowed the epicormic growth to flush them today we returned to reduce the height down to start forming a smaller crown. I managed to hit myself with the silky and then we went and took down a smallish poplar. Oh and this sign tickled me about food deliver vans.
  8. Hi everyone, So a bit of a favour. I cannot supply and deliver to one of my clients. They are after 6 8ft long and 5" diameter poles to build a raft with in the new wrangler photo shoot. I'll pop the email address up for nadia (she's a lovely and very attractive girl if you get to meet her) They will pay so it's not a free favour too. There not too worried if it's hardwood for pine. However, the original supplier dropped out this morning and it's too far for me to run 6 poles from norwich to Surrey. These have to be there before 3pm for the shoot. It's a pretty cool thing to know your poles will be in magazines around Europe hey. [email protected] I hope someone is able to help her out. Address kt11 1je roughly.
  9. A weekend felling at a stately hall which is about to get restored. I managed to blow the hydraulic radiator somehow so the skid steers down for a few days. We had some free time felling as we were a head so we let lucy whose new to arb work have some felling practice on bigger trees.
  10. Nice pics, that fence looks tidy as hell.
  11. 2 cedars from today one to remove the reshape the other.
  12. One word for what that looks like to work on - brutal. Nice work and a big site.
  13. One from today. A heavy reduction to an overgrown plum. We had removed a row of conifers to the left hand side of the tree. This caused a huge dip which we've tried to blend out and the employees clearly were still in gay pride parade float mode.
  14. Probably but we lifted the bottom in 3 bits so I haven't checked. I was offsite when they finished that section off so I don't honestly know.
  15. I quickly dead wooded the small oak whilst rob stripped the crown out of Oak tree. Nice easy day and finished by 15:00. Nice being able to grab the timber whilst it was in the air and saved a bit of effort pulling big it away from some vulnerable shrubs.
  16. A quick triple beech removal. Great access for the skid steer so getting timber out was a breeze. Then we went to the yard and let the apprentices practice using a big saw on some wood.
  17. Well I do love me to think I live there. Your boat trip could only be funnier if you hired it from wroxham. 10mins down river. Rich- can't thank you enough for introducing me to the bdb. Just need to bed it in so it ascends like yours. That's a huge birch too! Haven't seen many that size.
  18. Added the same one twice. All made easy on the bdb
  19. A few from today. We had to swing into coltishall hall to clear a couple of broken limbs of a large pine.
  20. Just a few from today. A bit of a rush after yesterday's delays. I've got to finish the cherry off tomorrow as we ran out of time.
  21. Hi Jon, it was off East runton cliffs so one of the first places in the UK to see sunrise I guess. Dan- wow! That's an awesome picture
  22. Today me and the wife got up early to go see the summer solstice sunrise. We had some huge thunderstorms last night which by luck made possibly one of the best sunrises I've seen in a while.
  23. Oh plus we started at midday today.
