  1. How did the new grapple do?
  2. Like iron!!
  3. That looks the mutts nuts. Ive toyed with the idea of doing something like this but not sure if id utilize it.
  4. Had to remove a dead oak against a garage this morning. Then decided to strip down the skid steer to remove the pipe that blew but had to stop and absorb up a bit of hydraulic fluid that was in the safety bund.
  5. Nice picks
  6. 113,000 ish. I put a new gearbox in a year back at a cost of £1300.
  7. Hahaha I now see what you mean!!! Wish I'd done that deliberately.
  8. Ex UKpn van. Absolutely brilliant as an onsite arb truck. It's always loaded with repair kit just in case it's needed. It only cost £3475.00 and came with full spec off road tyres, 8000lbs winch and highways spec livery.
  9. I think thats what chalky white charges a day.
  10. Took an extra 3 hours and two arb mates came to help recover the skid steer and bring some extra hydraulic oil so we could move it without causing additional risk of damage. Today was a day I really appreciate the tight group of mates who work with me on a weekly basis helping muck in to get everything done.
  11. Just one of those days. Thinning a small block woodland at a local primary school. Then we blew a main hydraulic drive hose. I think I used up pretty much all 3 spill kits as I had to recover it to the bunded trailer.
  12. I just see If reg has done one and apply it to a smaller scaled tree. Haha.
  13. Parental advisory required. To be fair I'm surprised he still has a job after being so reckless. [ame] [/ame]
  14. NICE! You better film it!
  15. Here you go, really good film and the lad andy is from my way. [ame] [/ame]
  16. Cheers darrin, it's amazing how much work can be done by utilising a skid steer. I honestly think it can save 4 hours of manual work on bigger timber jobs or long conifer stems. If I can't get the skid steer in or chipper near I take the portable winch to get stuff to it. Not had any problems with clients either as I explain what I'm bringing and what it will do. Also it normally saves them money in the pocket too.
  17. Tidy job Robert and nice work over the greenhouse too. Finished off the Lawson hedge and moved the thuja wood to the yard ready for milling.
  18. Bills first. Always. Yeah even through we had 4 people on site. 2 were reducing a mammoth yew hedge so time was a real issue to get done in a day. I didn't intend to film it but thought its a bit different to the normal jobs that get done. If I'd of had a boat on site though I may have put a bit more planning into the filming. Yeah that drew and Jono ones good. There's another one that a lad from my way was in when he was in nz. I may find it up later and post it on this thread. Anyway mark, I loved your dangerous rigging on that broke the paver.
  19. John is that a free floating grapple like the BMG one?
  20. Work smart not hard these days. Hahah I always look to get machines in everywhere I can. The place is rackheath hall in Norfolk. It was used by the usaf during ww2. There's loads of old out buildings and air raid bunkers.
  21. Oh well most angles are work angles and don't take more than a few seconds to setup.
  22. Cheers benn, I though Cosby is your protege?
  23. Sweet benn, anymore pics? Keen to see how you did your one.
  24. If you ever get to meet Chris the owner he's a sound bloke and a bloody good guy.
  25. Well if you'd of ratchet strapped it you might have had the same happen. Hence the valves being added. Xxx
