  1. I work on a lot of wet ground so that's why I ruled an avant out. You can still get them stuck though.

  5. possibly but then again i don't mow grass I do like it though and it works very well for me which, might not work for others. Oh and compact tractors aint no good on wetlands.
  6. and there was me always thinking you were super rich
  7. Cheers, I bought the skid steer with the idea of utilising some bits of kit I own. That and I was worried about the old bill pulling us over with no mud guards on the fast row trailer.
  8. Ever thought of a tipping trailer with ramps?? Extra load space of you need to run a couple of loads away during the day. That's what I use but I'm now buying a plant trailer as I need the tipping trailer free.
  9. My wife agrees. In my area forestry is where the money's at. A lot of new arb companies my way over the last decade means I've seen my arb work profit go down but firewood is up this year. It really depends on what YOU want to do. Enjoyment of the job for me outweighs any financial gain. I'd rather be happy and broke than stressed and super rich.
  10. We tried to work out of the hydraulic system could power it sufficiently a month or so ago. Not sure what the engineer came up with.
  11. They just don't ever seem to be interested if it's not a big machine. Real shame IMO. I liked the look of the branch manager I think it's probably better than mine for feeding a chipper because of the swing.
  12. Well until someone quotes them the price tag. Hahaha
  13. I've found one so far that's not got it. Then again were felling it in a few weeks.
  14. And that's just the reported ones. I wonder how off those figures are.
  15. Cheers Jon, not sure if it's interesting enough for the arbtalk masses as they prefer a good old bit of rigging.
  16. Hahaha Paul I think you need one of those other sites for that stuff.
  17. Hahah blimey I read that and though Jen was pregnant!!! Also apparently it's not acceptable to take a skid steer through a drive through. Maccy ds long water said no.
  18. thought id re-poet this video here [ame] [/ame]
  19. You know me mark, any excuse to use the skid steer.
  20. driver always checks the truck. that day it was me.
  21. id of felled the scots pine
  22. Possibly. We did visit a few site and the first one we did leave the transit off site by the road.
  23. Nope I actually care for my machines.
  24. Not sure because the nuts were checked in the morning as part of the checks. I guess when one went the lot went quickly due to movement.
