  1. Well i thought you edited it very well. Nice vid
  2. I put other because i see the apprentiships as a good way to learn. You get to got to college and learn theroy rather than take some old arborists word that topping is fine. Plus you get to work at a couple of companies which give you an insight on how diff outfits work.
  3. How far are you willing to travel and what kind of pay are you looking for if you needed to get to wroxham way? Has your licence got a towing ticket or is it restricted to 750kgs?
  4. I guess they took the gowing green to a new level.
  5. Still as easy as it looks its still way out of my skill set, i tried carving once and failed.
  6. Superb video there gibbon. Didn't realize how huge it was till about the 2 minute mark when i was wondering why did you have your line in another tree??? Oh not its the same tree which is mega!
  7. Ah, just seen this. Yeah crane it out, i'll bring my camera and maybe even let you strap it to a section or 2.
  8. Hi Rupe, Tried to mail your inbox but apparently you have far too many messages in there. Glad you got it sorted out with the company. Wish i would of bought the image off you and saved myself a fiver:001_rolleyes:.

  9. Wizard no. I was born in the deepest forests of Norfolk rasied by tree ninjas, taught the death cut and how to be as agile as a cat, as dynamic as a monkey and as fast sparrow hawk. Sorry was i waffling again. 395 20" Bar enough to scare the toughest Pop.
  10. I would of loved to fell them in the hedge but that's one of the reasons i got subbed to climb them, trying to avoid damage to the hedge below:thumbdown:
  11. Oh ok, just read it that way. Sorry
  12. He means 1:16ish that caught my eye too.
  13. pip will fit in a match box!!
  14. Not Nieve at all tbh, I see what's being asked and as an arb type i see that if it is deamed a problem it should be delt with correctly. I've been on a number of bat courses over the years as part of my cpd's from the last company i worked for. If you read my posts as the questions progress i adapt to what is being asked. Human life is valued higher than any bat. Im sure if it went to court with your recommendation to leave it as it could have bats would put you in a lovely deep hole. I feel that you are being nieve thinking that as question states high volume of people and traffic. I.E. busy main road into a city?? Not a dig or a rant just a reply to your comment of calling me nieve.
  15. If it needs to be removed then you would need to go to the EU directive people and get a form, fill it in then they decide, to remove the hazardous tree.
  16. Only if its identified as a active roost or is deamed to be potentially used roost. Yes it could be look at as you do but all my bat surveys i've had done say 'it could be used by bats but there were no signs of used habitat by bats' In all fairness every dead tree must be protected the especially if it has ivy or flaking bark.
  17. Gone! Or Monolith'd and brough under a 3 monthly re inspection regime.
  18. Reduce maybe with a bit of fracture pruning not coronets just rip them out to allow epi's to grow.
  19. Hypothetical you say.....High explosive fracture prunning then with C4. I'd probably still leave it as the farm track will be a lower usage road unless its the main entrance? im guessing the footpath is on the track too? not a tramac one?
  20. Is it within falling distance/ direction of an active, frequently used footpath or a main road? I would leave it to its own devices in a woodland if there is no or low risk. It holds a lot of value for wildlife in that state and as it falls apart and breaks down it returns itself from wence it came. Nice pics.
  21. This wasn't an intensional stunt fell till it landed and i looked and well thought hmm. just fitted:biggrin: But much more proffesinal than my stunt fell of a shed.
  22. Ok, cool let me know the outcome.
  23. Its 3 months from the start date of you self employment. I got told this when i went self employed by the lovely lass at the HMRC office.
