  1. We had a section of the river shut off today so we could clear some trees back. The reason being the nice holiday trip boats kept hitting them. Even had the river police doing their bit.
  2. Those pics are spot on Rob, very nice
  3. The hitch will lock as its designed too, but for sakes of conversation and if in neutral and you fall the RW could in a very slim chance act as a hand on top of the hitch, you would drop minimal distance but its all good. For the record the New Rope Wrench ive been testing has completely eliminated this problem 100%
  4. For the same kind of reasons i use the ascender as a separate part of my kit so if theres a fall the Wrench engages and the ascender is left on the line with low risk of shredding the line. After seeing drews drop test with grabs im always conscious of it
  5. I was fixed on it from start to finish. But it makes it sound easier to be free than it is especially if your the only one or one of very few. then you become the farmer.....
  6. Here you go i hope you can see but the bungee seemed to flip it into the freefall position which wasnt nice to see.
  7. I tried it but found i pulled the wrench into an upright position between movements which, to be honest i didnt like. I preferred adding a pulley below the wrench on line instead rather than adding it to the tether point.
  8. Nice video Reg, nearly missed it.
  9. Ok so were looking at the 9th June. Hopefully it will be a nice day. I just need to clarify with them that theres nothing on that day (which im in the process of doing). So it will be around 10am if you like meeting on the rear car park which is found by driving past the clubhouse. Give me a shout if your struggling for directions (north walsham rugby club, Scottow, norfolk) Be nice to put some faces to avatars, Ian
  10. Spaces are filling up fast if your thinking of entering please get your forms in ASAP for Woodfest and Three counties.
  11. Hi Everyone, im going to be looking to arrange a reccy climb at North Walsham rugby club, norfolk. I will endevour to arrange it for a Saturday about 3 weeks away. There is a medium sized Welly and a largish beech, i might setup a work climb for those who want to have a play. I will also be bringing up some of my kit for people to have a play with. I'll give a talk on SRT Work Positioning for anyone who cares if they like. Spiderjack Lockjack Rope Wrench ZK1 (Sorry the ZK2 is staying at home) Stein base anchor setup. Stein PTT com system. and a number of ropes, inc srt lines. I'll try to sort a BBQ out if the weather plays ball and i'll sort an exact date when i have a few minutes on Tuesday.
  12. In the pipeline, just need a good weekend of sun as filming in the wet is rubbish and Me & Mr Curtis will try to make something.
  13. Nice set of pictures there. Im now trying to figure out if i could get away with having a cannon in the front room...........
  14. Hi Guys i can give you feedback, i have been testing one for a good few months now and its not a bad harness at all. Lots of places to hang kit (customizable loops) and a rear hanging point for your saw. Very much placed in the market to compete with the Petzls. I did occasionally get hip pinch but that was on the odd occasion when i had my 395 hanging on the side rather than the rear point. You can also put a small crab just above the rear attachment point which is very handy for shortening up the saw lanyard. Price is good too. I've given it a massive kicking in testing and no stitching has failed and it looks like it has a good few miles left on the clock still.
  15. They look very cool indeed.
  16. Best video yet id say and Yes it was ACE,
  17. You'll have to wait for it i think, as far as i know its still in the testing phases, well the stuff in the uk is.
  18. Sorry cannot do saturday as ive just been told that im not even in norfolk this weekend. I'll have a look in the diary and see when im free for you to come have a climb and test on the kit.

  19. Jimmy's Farm (off of the telly guy) Suffolk. Lovely woodland walk.
  20. Cheers, I forget about sprinkler stuff as here in the UK its very rare to see.
  21. i think one of the problems is the likelihood of failure against their insurance and report (validity). I think this results in a preemptive death blow as worse case scenario they recommend a reduction over x years and it falls over in year 1.
  22. Nice work Taylor, just one question did you decide to rig it so you could get it down quicker, training for your friend or other reasons? Just curious as i may have been tempted to drop out most of it but i couldn't see if there were many objects below. Ian

  24. Dmm revolver, sling and i use the Stein oval as you saw on my kit at the game fair i find the oval allows better tensioning of the sling. Natuiral crothces if avaliable but only if im just poping out along the limb not leaving it in all ady as such. So natural for a quick by pass otherwise sling and revolver for long term.
  25. Nice head of rope, haha
