  6. One foot angainst the limb and move the other with the pantin up until you clear the object? Or thurn your back on the object and continue upwards.
  7. Cheers Ben, its always on of my favorite shows not only because of the camp fire and beer. Although a part of me was sad over the lack of Jive Pony girls this year.
  8. Hi, Firstly thank you if you came and for sticking out some of the worst weather (fri, sat) we've had in a while. So i will give a little ramble about the event and then the results. So the Husqvarna European 25m Pole Climbing Championship was Held at the Three Counties Show in Malvern, Shropshire. The first two days are the Three Counties Show competition and the third was the Europeans, all of which were sponsored by Husqvarna and the carabiners supplied by Rock Exotica. Day one saw some fast times even in the intermittent wet weather with Patrick Hayes comfortably taking the experts 1st place for the day and David Teasdale in the Tree Surgeon class. Then there was the bar a campfire and around about 12:30am i went to bed. Day two RAIN and lots of it!! some sections of the campsite (thankfully not our part) turned into a river. Everyone still went up and times reminded pretty much the same. Big thanks to Chris Wheatley and his belay teams for standing out in it whilst the climbs ran. Ben Lightfoot took the tree surgeon class win in which he was clearly in control throughout the day. Patrick Hayes taking the Expert but given a close run by Grant Gallier who seemed to have some rotten luck in the top 15ft of the climb. So Day 3 and SUNSHINE!!!! the weather broke and the temperature soared (for England that is). Nerves started to kick in with some doing worse times in the first couple of heats and other setting new personal bests. The final runs had a large crowed and even the bird of preys display bird stopped off for a few seconds to watch from the top of pole 2. David teasdale taking the win in Tree Surgery class after being denied the top spot for so long through slips and bad luck. Grant took the Expert class but Patrick chased all the way. The times through the tables are also very close with 5th-8th in Expert being separated by 0.87 of a second and 2nd-3rd in Tree Surgery by 0.25 of a second. If your thinking of having a go give please do, even if its just for a single run or just one day. You never know you might get hooked on it. 9. Indeed it was a great day, thanks for all who turned up. Im glad you all enjoyed the beech tree and maybe next time we will focus on the welly as the view from the top is very good. I'll upload the zipline video later once i have a minute.
  10. Hi Tom, no prob I'll stick another one on the truck
  11. Cool, I'll be parked up out front in the transit
  12. Hi Reg, Just wondering why the top was taken out in 3:23 in the other tree in the frame??
  13. Agreed, you wouldn't want the client to fall foul of gross neglect of duty of care. A redirect would of been nice to reduce the load dynamics on that limb although it was a static lower rather than a dynamic lower.
  14. A few from woodfest
  15. Missed the button, poor lad
  16. A great way to start the season Day 1 sunshine, day 2 38cm of rain and day 3 sunshine. It was great to see a lot of new faces entering and the Husky bottle openers were a very useful treat. Thanks to CEUK and The Oregon Shop for additional prizes (and my handsaw, dutch oven and storm kettle) which increased our prize categories. Massive Thanks to Husquvarna for sponsoring the Event and the up an coming Europeans and Worlds this Year. Patrick Hayes seems to be on flying form and the rest of the field need to find form fast to chase him down. Bad luck to Jack and Gage who both seemed to have the worst luck this weekend with spikes breaking and just being unlucky in the climbs. If any of you fancy having a go feel free to PM me on here and i can point you in the right direction. 19. Hi, Just a couple of recent jobs that we did. One was a river reduction so the tour boats didnt cause a hazard whilst navigating the river. The other was a ring barked Alder over a board walk which was great crested newt habitat so we were told we could only place the material in this 2ft by 6ft area. Not a hard job but made slow because of this. Hope you enjoy them [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUZuk4WJBnw&feature=colike]Willow River Reductions - YouTube[/ame] [ame] [/ame]
  20. A few from Pensthorpe in Norfolk
  21. I honestly dont know when it will be out in the UK but all i can say is i personally prefer it to the ZK1
  22. No its just Kevin has obviously made things better and evolved it. Its not my place to say and i cant show any pictures. so sorry but it is much better than the ZK1 currently is, Its Kevins product so im not risking him losing any patient or running the risk of someone ripping his hard work off like Reg had with his arb trolley. I was asked by 2 interested companies in the Uk to test it and give feedback, so i am and it is very good. Sometimes on the ZK1 you had some tightness on the hitch this has now been completely resolved as ive been giving it a good testing (hence my lack of videos on the web recently). I recently caught a view of another product for SRT climbing coming onto the market soon which also looks very good. So sorry if any of you think im causing drama but id rather that than cause someone to lose the patient on their product they have put their heart and soul into.
  23. Yeah on the Bure itself, there are two islands that are part of Salhouse broad. We were completing Stage 1 before we take on the mass alder clear fell on the other islands in...............Winter
