  1. This looks promising, ive been looking at a tool that cuts big roots in post holes without blunting, size (12in) is a slight problem but I see they also make a 9in, maybe someone makes a 4in?.
  2. Hi eggs, I got your private message , but im not into that kind of thing, I don't care what underwere you,ve got on or the fact that I can call you carol, thanks for the offer but im a married man mate!
  3. Didn't get her number by any chance did you ?
  4. Rambo, first blood
  5. I bought 2 from amazon for £30. I use it for cutting roots or tops of stumps for fencing. So far I found it a really handy bit of kit in the right situation. Cant see it being much good for pruning and as khriss says a silky would be better for that.
  6. spot on , gypsies and travellers are worlds apart

Amazing what these mules can tow
  10. some seriously good bits of kit there, not so sure about the horse though.
  11. You havnt been ripped off, you agreed the price they quoted you and they have done the work you asked for, as for the logs I would think that they have only ringed up the size of wood worth keeping , the rest went through the chipper.
  12. blocking wheel arches
  13. Great bits of kit, better than a tipper imo as you can reverse right into the back of a garage and unload, if its going on a typical 1 ton pick up you,ll have to block the wheel arches off.
  14. Seasoned knotty ash Has to be up there with the hardest.
  15. I cut high hedges by strapping a section of aluminium ladder to a double extension ladder to form a cross , that way you cant fall through the hedge, its light and easily moved along.
  16. (Fence panels) if its a long run I cut the first panel down to around 5ft wide then you should miss the old posts, just cut them to ground level and bang them in the ground, Obviously the first and last posts need to come out.
  17. Make the most of it while it lasts, the next 20 odd summers could be crap
  18. I used to have an old stihl strimmer with an 08s engine, I took that off and put a ts360 engine on it , it would fling half bricks around with 3.3mm cord, still not sure it would of beat the guy with the sythe though.
  19. No offence stubby, but your older than me and have you ever known a more miserable wet winter?
  20. We are never to old to learn new things, this winter I have learnt that the bbc weather app on my phone is total utter crap! Why does it tell the forecast 10 days ahead? it cant get the next hours weather right.
  21. looks like chestnut to me
  22. pioneer,green coloured,total crap
  23. I delivered a load of logs to a bloke in Milton Keynes a couple of years ago who happened to be a comedy writer for channel 4, I asked him why was our comedy now crap as opposed to the seventies ie rising damp/porridge/fawlty towers etc , he summed it up by saying he has a list of all the words he wasn't allowed to mention in his scripts, black.terrorist, muslim, gay, the words went on and on.
  24. Had my yard done over on Wednesday, first time ive laughed since, cheers mark
  25. Looks like yew from a distance, zoom in on the wood where its cut and it looks very much like hawthorn.
