  1. progress is for the best.. i couldn't manage without my sack cart, pneumatic tyres and everything:thumbup1:
  2. its brilliant having the 'open plan' dash, very easy to get to all the wires and loads of legroom, downside being when window at back of cab is left open the fusebox fills with chip pretty fast.. i would have taken a pic of the tree through the fence but we cleared it up fast and went to buy a panel before anybody noticed..
  3. just emptied camera memory card for the week, these were the best of a poor week.. an easy beech hedgetrim, prince charming, the result of a backleaning leylandii and gust of wind while felling(my first squashed fence), the window at back of cab left open for a couple of seconds and a couple of walnuts left over from a walnut fight..
  4. the squareish roll hoop looking thing just behind your cab, i think its meant to go inside the iw canopy, lift the canopy forward over it, thats how my truckman top fitted to my old brava pickups.
  5. isnt the ladder rack meant to go inside the canopy rob? i like them iw canopies for security but mine always made me look like a farmer..
  6. try when im sat having a cut of scalding tea with a choccy digestive, not when im up a tree, or driving, or dragging 3branches uphill, or trying to talk to a client..
  7. i like to get real friendly with the back bumper of the car infront, especially if its a learner on a steep uphill, just to intimidate them into fluffing up their clutch control and rolling back into the landy hahahahaha. then i'd not acknowledge the incident in any way and just drive off.. good luck with the lessons mate, dont forget to check yr mirrors, i'll let ya drive the landy offroad friday if you want practice
  8. had a brava (isuzu engine)good truck in nearly every way, bits can be expensive though, would have kept mine forever if chassis was beefier and it would work in low range without eating front diffs, bits interchangable with frontera which is more readily found in scrapyards. the FRONTera is based directly on the front of the brava using same running gear etc..
  9. thorntons fencing.. opposite what was ashbrow pub/ashbrow garage.. show them a letterhead and get 15% off too.
  10. if its not your thing then fight your corner and good luck to you.. not my choice of project either really but if i had enough time and space i'd strip it, rebuild really strong and safe around a decent engine and running gear (non original) and paint in a faded unloved look thats so sought after, mmm possibly bag it and drop it to the deck..
  11. i have nothing against speedcameras, i used to drive like a complete pillock and calmed down a lot a few years ago, been clean now for a long time and hopefully it will stay that way. however today i mercilessly switched off traction control on a big car on tarmacd private land to ease the pain of this weeks 20mile drive in low range when the motorway was closed and blocked everywhere. i'd love to own a fast car again but the roads have been ruined for lovers of speed.
  12. on last pic the little blighters have been graffiti-ing.. i'll have a look later, think i have some pics too..
  13. liking that last pic.. what happens when you get more chip in than expected?
  14. go round and lean on them.. i had one guy who took the mickey, went round second time at agreed time to collect money to be told he was in bed and had no money, had to tell his missus that on non-payment this time i would be taking goods to the value of the debt from his possession, needless to say he immediately appeared with the money (after borrowing it from a neighbour). if they dont want to /cant pay they shouldnt have been stupid enough to ask for work doing..
  15. winch? you mean you spent loads of money on something that does a similar job to a tow bar? logs dragged, stumps pulled etc can all be done with towbar.. haha only joking i'd love to get a winch but then i'd actually be touching the car in front..
  16. you pay your own bills? i get the wife to do all that.. no idea what stuff costs
  17. to cut smaller trees or firewood and have fun doing it i use 460(with bigger exhaust) with 16inch bar,
  18. eat it quick before it escapes..
  19. hahahaha reminds me of a time working on a steep banking covered in waisthigh brash, climber dropped a chunk onto a bush with a nest in right next to me.. nearly broke my neck diving over the brash trying to get down hill as fast as poss.. he was laughing his head off trying to get camera out
  20. the headrests are tough in that beast..
  21. no idea of title but one of them scary disease films where it spreads fast uncontrollably, guy walks into store scared disease will get him, starts saw and using pushing chain on full revs cuts through his own neck really fast.. blink and you will miss it, i think about it all the time.. looks so easy, better than holding up traffic on motorway deciding wether you should jump or not. oh im not suicidal ...yet haha
