  1. I had one in the garden last year and it died last winter i cut it off at ground level and planted a liquidamber right next to it and now the cordyline is growing again didnt know that could happen although its -4 outside so will prob kill it again Chris
  2. Hi Tim Firstly i'm a builder so have bugger all professional knowledge or experiance of this only my opinion. I have no problem with minimum intervention but the wood opposite seems to be neglected and not managed at all. I understand that its probably an ideal habitat for some species but i would have thought with a bit more looking after and some serious ivy removal it would become a more diverse habitat

  4. Got the same addiction in winter look at trees thinking, like to cut that down, and in spring what can i plant this year.. love it.. Oh yeah this lot seem well friendly, welcome. Chris
  5. I think your comments are spot on and i also think its a disgrace all the woodland sitting around unmanaged there is a small area of trees opposite my house and most of them are hung up in other trees or on the ground it would supply many homes with firewood if cleared and replanted with native species then managed properly... Chris
  6. I find extra strong mints are better than victory v's..

I've got loads of mates got into wood burning this year and none of them have got anything stored from last year so they are burning anything they can get their hands on most dont know the difference this will come with experience one of them was burning the councils old post and rail fencing from around his garden on an open fire. Chris
  10. I have got a large garage /lockup attached to a house i rent out it is only meant to be domestic use but the guy in there has been running a buisness for years its in a built up area but he keeps himself to himself and does not make a lot of noise and nobody has ever said a thing you could keep quiet and see what happens but rather depends on what you intend to do in it.. Chris
