  1. And as an added benefit it would stop you biting your nails

I ve used one of those concrete chainsaws and they are heavy would not wanna be up a tree with one as said before will not cut wood very well blocks up the diamond grit i had a holm oak with concrete on one of my sites once tree surgeon just dropped it and cut it up on the ground left the butt with the cavity and we threw it in the skip with the telehandler good luck
  3. just a light dusting in e sussex just started again though think we gonna miss most of it shame wanted to take the kids sledging
  4. been on seasoned oak since end of october and still no sign of the other wood stacked behind it toasty warm not much ash either
  5. i make it in a oil drum each winter light it before going to bed then damp it down when wake up get about a bag and a half from each burn, smokes like hell though would never light it in daylight neighbours would go batty.

Hi thanks for the info and pics was thinking about a table and bench seat for outside best to season it first then sand it up and stain it rather than build it green cant do much about cutting them down in summer they are coming down in the next couple of weeks but like the idea of sealing up the ends Cheers chris
  8. Im gonna have a go at milling an oak butt about 24" dia. when finished what is the best way to stack them and will they split also can you use them green and again will they split cheers chris
  9. Have used them many times and always been impressed planted a beech hedge at my house 3 years ago and its looking really strong this year also planted their wildlife mix last year and what the sheep have not eaten is also looking great Chris
  10. I spent two winters splitting with axe and maul then borrowed a hydraulic splitter never going back ! Chris

  12. hi it looks like it needs a clutch and cover and sprocket it starts and runs just fine but being so old looks like the usa for the bits trying to find a blow up to id part numbers Cheers chris
  13. Hi just picked up one of these saws for £30 needs a chain but runs ok cant find much info about it though anybody had one or got an opinion cheers Chris
