1. We have a Grillo climber. Really rate it. Fast over the ground! Light to tow about and leaves a good finish. That said im a thinking of selling it if you are interested?

hedging saw

Husky 550's one has 15". Mine has 13" and 8tooth sprocket and is a bit quick if you just want to 'notch' something;) Also have just got a stilh battery one I plan to use on small stuff when laying with axe/hook and just want to knock heels off. Seems like a good idea as half the time the saw is just ticking over on the ground

'Bone' oak

Spot on thanks, that's what I thought! Lovely bench!! We are based near Oxford.

'Bone' oak

I have been asked to fell a stone dead oak. Its a shame as i think it looks great as a feature but customer wants it down (public access etc). Id rather use it for more than firewood, is it worth trying to mill or is it going to be hard going. Cheers
5. We took one down in a school and they had it milled into cladding. I've also seen it used to make 'log' bench (top and bottom slabbed off) Infract I have been asked to make some 6 so could do with some (or something durable) like that 2m long and 450-600mm dia
6. Nice setup. Is than an valiant with loader on? We have the TP130 on a 35hp alpine and its been great! Although we are selling it as our work has changed.
7.

Hi If you are selling the resaw I might well be interested.

Thanks Kav 07703192775

8. Hi We are looking to sell our TP130 chipper. Low hours and great condition with TP pilot(no stress). We run it on 35ph alpine. Its a great chipper but our work has changed a bit so doesn't get used as much as it should. Feel free to call/email for more details cheers Kav 0770392775 [email protected]
9. Agree with all above. I'm guessing the stuff in Norway might be 'denser' (smaller growth rings). Birch bark firelighters are great especially mixed with a bit of dried orange peel

Keeping stakes

Yep looking like the most likely solution. Goes great in the woodburner!

Keeping stakes

I have a load of stakes left this year. Ive had some supplied to me in the past that were a year old and a bit brittle. Any tips for storing over summer (i'll point them now) or should i just put them on log heap and cut more next season? Cheers
12. After this last trip I wish could speak Norwegian and make the move Definitely want to spend more time out there next year.
13. Thanks for replies. It was mainly on edges of route 7 heading from Oslo up to Geilo. Kinda runs out of trees after that!
14. Just got back from a trip and saw big piles of forward brash road/trackside in Norway. I'm assuming it's going for biomass? Can anyone confirm please? Sorry didn't get any photo's it just came up in conversation while we were driving about. Thanks
15. Not arb but hey. Just finished installing recycled plastic boardwalk on Thames Path National Trail.
16. Spot on thanks that looks about 10min down the road from our site
17. Thanks it's a bit in the wrong direction from home but could be very handy thank you.
18. Cracking jobs chaps! We just finished this one. I tend to lay 'midland' but go a bit 'free'style and leave it a bit hairy on the clean side sometimes
19. Good evening. We are looking for a chip tip site near Rickmansworth/Northwood. Probably looking around 10 3.5t tipper loads. Cheers 07703192775
20. Great thanks. I'll buy some tomorrow. Be a shame to waste it now I've got this far!
21. I milled some sycamore today that was felled about a year ago. Lovely colours but looks like it might not short of going soft? What's the best thing to do? Should I treat boards with something? I have super dry softwood stickers and can store out doors or in our barn. Thanks for any help

A frame cabin

Great thanks, I couldn't find much when I googled it
23. Evening! I've been asked to make a cabin/shed for my bro. After trips to Iceland I fancy an A-frame (going to mill timber/cladding etc) Does anyone have a plan/dimensions please. I'm sure we can make something up but would be great to have a starting point. Cheers Kav
24. Only briefly read thread so not sure if this helps. We have a 35hp bcs and run a 5" tp chipper on it. Not super fast on brashy stuff as only one feed roller but gets through it and takes bigger woody stuff really well. Its a bit back heavy when lifted on arms but other than that good. It sits on 14' ifor with weights over headboard and chipper legs just on back so probably no go on a tipper. We tend to chip on site so not a problem. TP might be for sale soon-its great but need something a bit bigger
25. Western red Viking chair I made for my Sister in law.
