  2. Thanks for replies. It was mainly on edges of route 7 heading from Oslo up to Geilo. Kinda runs out of trees after that!
  3. Just got back from a trip and saw big piles of forward brash road/trackside in Norway. I'm assuming it's going for biomass? Can anyone confirm please? Sorry didn't get any photo's it just came up in conversation while we were driving about. Thanks
  4. Not arb but hey. Just finished installing recycled plastic boardwalk on Thames Path National Trail.
  5. Spot on thanks that looks about 10min down the road from our site
  6. Thanks it's a bit in the wrong direction from home but could be very handy thank you.
  7. Cracking jobs chaps! We just finished this one. I tend to lay 'midland' but go a bit 'free'style and leave it a bit hairy on the clean side sometimes
  8. Good evening. We are looking for a chip tip site near Rickmansworth/Northwood. Probably looking around 10 3.5t tipper loads. Cheers 07703192775
  9. Great thanks. I'll buy some tomorrow. Be a shame to waste it now I've got this far!
  10. I milled some sycamore today that was felled about a year ago. Lovely colours but looks like it might not short of going soft? What's the best thing to do? Should I treat boards with something? I have super dry softwood stickers and can store out doors or in our barn. Thanks for any help

    A frame cabin

Great thanks, I couldn't find much when I googled it
  12. Evening! I've been asked to make a cabin/shed for my bro. After trips to Iceland I fancy an A-frame (going to mill timber/cladding etc) Does anyone have a plan/dimensions please. I'm sure we can make something up but would be great to have a starting point. Cheers Kav
  13. Only briefly read thread so not sure if this helps. We have a 35hp bcs and run a 5" tp chipper on it. Not super fast on brashy stuff as only one feed roller but gets through it and takes bigger woody stuff really well. Its a bit back heavy when lifted on arms but other than that good. It sits on 14' ifor with weights over headboard and chipper legs just on back so probably no go on a tipper. We tend to chip on site so not a problem. TP might be for sale soon-its great but need something a bit bigger
  14. Western red Viking chair I made for my Sister in law.
  15. Just need to find some decent coppice.....
  16. Set of Key Wrenches for Pin Hex Security Screws : Security Screws & Fixings - Security Safety Products any good
  17. To be honest i'm only going on what I was told. They said 150T/day at £40/t. I think it was moorland restoration rather than commercial harvesting. Plus it got it off without making a mark. I can get more info if you are interested.
  18. To quote my cousin. 'the trouble is we are mixing agriculture with aviation'
  19. Nothing to do with me but though i'd stick it on our facebook
  20. Ha yeah but if you can fly out 150t in a day its worth it Apparently on clearfell site heli was about the same as skyline.
  21. Yeah was not massively impressed- time for a grumpy rant at stihl rep!
  22. Welcome to Heli-Lift Services Helicopter Lifting and Aerial Crane Organisation This is my cousins crew. They can lift 2tonne plus. Cheers
  23. The pole saw is great but sadly our hedgecutter lasted about 1 day before gearbox/motor failure and we had to wait weeks for it to be fixed under warranty
  24. Another deviation! Can anyone recommend a Loler inspection company for a sprinter based mewp? Nearish oxford. Thanks Kav
