  1. They are a bloody nightmare to do now! 2 red, 2 white & 2 yellow to get back into the same terminals. Maybe I should start carrying about some coulerd tape to solve this prob. Not that I would ever do it if it is illegal:blushing:
  2. Broke a Bt line last yr & was told by a Bt mate of the guy I was working for to do the same thing. Unfortunatly we were still on the site of the LA job when bloody Columbo rolled up in Bt uniform. We lied & carryed on even with the other people who lived on the street yacking on about how the dead lump hit the line & broke it. After reading this post I feel a bit better as it seems to me Bt are just laying out their responsabilatys on the high bill rate & tax payer! Unfortunatly it can take 24 hr to respond which may cause some real probs for some people. Some concert black & white paper would be nice to wave or refrer clients to so as not to unnessaseraly charge them for wrk that may not be needed. Bring on the terror squirals:thumbup1:

Thanks for feed back jarnii & Bender. Sounds like basics first & tweek will be the way to go along with keeping it simple & easy till I find what works. What hand assender do you use jarnii? I have seen a kong one that looked less bulky than the pez, can't find it on line any place even though I was told it was bought from Honey bro. Not worked with the guy for a while so not had the chance to ask him. As another post says 'Marc where are you?' it was Q's gadgit..
  4. We aint a pretty looking bunch I am told:sneaky2: Think the dress code could be a way fwd. I have been told on a number of ocasions that I make a good suit look bad! You can't shine a turd as they say:laugh1:

I can't help but give our winged friends much respect too. After a good half hr of observing said nest & young bing fed by a very comited mum & dad that we i.d as mistle thrush we were filled yet again with the respect for all as well put by you 'within our human shadows'. They also had to deal with the atention of some relentless preditors to their young in the shape of magpie. I hope they see the time when their young can take to wing.. Can relate to the determination of the black bird you saw & the nutty eye removal atemptpts of other birds too.

Work on a tree didn't go ahead the other day due to birds feeding chicks! Due to a 21 day lay to hatch period as I am lead to belive this makes lay time in the last snow fall down our way! Regardless of this is this not a little early for mistltle thrush?
  9. Look fwd to seeing it. I have done the bodge job treebee with petzel pully on the mallyon end:blushing: Defo a market for a prop reg set up like that imo:thumbup1:
  10. Impressive last photo:thumbup1:. Look fwd to the update of end product.
  11. Zing it for me..5 yr same line, pulled over trees with it & removed many hangers!
  12. I was working for an AAAC the other day for a private sector co. As we were going about our work for rd/public safety wrk the senior member of the co was aproched by a member of public who lived near by. She went on to ask him what we were up to & who the scruffy lot were who were carrying out the work! He went on to sell the AAAC co I was working for with high regard & alot of emphasis on the fact they have 'quote an acreditation of only 150 co's in the country from the Arb assosiation & that is no mean feat!' he went on to say that this is the only resson they use said co & that they are highly recomended. This sort of comunication with the public & making them aware of pro co's is invaluable imo & with a little referal to the AA web site packs more of a punch. He also commented on our comments of some real bad tree wrk we had observed in her garden & as har husband is a prem footy manager he should be able to afford some good tree wrk, lol. What a sales man & flag flyer for good tree practices..
  13. Wow! What vision to create a thing like that.
  14. sorry David:blushing: Was a odd way of reminding myself & pushing the message to the BIG boss types out their that we are all people & have mums & dads who care about their arb type off spring no matter how many £ the job that was baddly quoted goes. I as you know became a number in the chainsaw twit hit list 2009 & have no intention of doing so again.. As I have posted befor, keep your pants tight & your head strong! I It only takes that one mistake to make your whole world & those around you go proper wrong! an extra 15 min on a job can make a whole lot of differance..
  15. Heard a story, one of pleanty second hand from the people who made this job what it is to me now.. It starts with a couple of crews on a long tearm job (over 2 days) on a posh estate pruning & felling trees. Fires on site for a day or two with resulting embers bing the bed for the next days fry up as is the norm. On a day near the end of the contract the van in front hits a muntjack deer! Crew behind stop & finish off the job (would have been poching otherwise;)!) Said deer is taken to site & newbee on the site is instructed to gut, skin, construct a spit & cook the feast for consumption later that day.. All is going well & the crews are looking fwd to a meal of fresh deer when the guv turns up in not the happy of moods! 'What the FU** is going on hear! I just had Mrs ?? on the phone in tears telling me to get down hear & to remove the savages I employ from their land!' 'Why?' 'The animals are cooking a DOG! on my bloody lawn!!'

  21. My 4 yr old son has done pleanty of ripping off water shoots on our fruit trees so far this year in order to gain futher access to otherwise inaccesseble areas up the trees.. Will let you know the outcome latter this year:lol: Sounds like a method worth employing if it works as I for one am fed up of pruning them out:sneaky2: Be nice if it worked on lime too:laugh1:
  22. Will some real good fracture prunes be part of the critiria? A good set out of ideas & plan to make us all a one mass fungi network.. Hope to get the time to get down to N london for the fun & mad hatters tea party:biggrin:
