  1. Yeah, pretty much any weekend. What have you got in mind?

  2. Awesome, I wish I was as cool as Peter looks. Got loads of tiddlers in tubs that I want to try and sculpt
  3. It may be that its just that little bit too loose/ the cord is slightly too long. Try with other hitches too, dare I say it...the VT isn't the only hitch in the world! Other than that, getting your groundy to pull slack is a good thing, you're safer, and they're not bored while you're getting up there
  4. Thought you would! You going with a hitch or Lj with it?

  5. Dammit, I had a vision of inventing that thing and it already exists! Looks intriguing, I'll check out the video
  6. fishermans, barrel, double overhand, they're all the same knot
  7. Short notice but having a climb in Norfolk tomo if you fancy it?

  8. Might have a climb tomorrrow in Loddon if you fancy it? No big gathering but maybe a few lads coming over. I'm organising a proper rec climb for mid may too

  9. At my temporary home, Loddon on the A146. Nothing big planned but I like to get in a swing most weekends. Anytime after about 11 I'll be about then until dark probably. You're welcome to come up, I'll pm you my number, give me a call if you fancy it
  10. It'll be properly light if its dead, not heavy at all. As said be careful of the bark plating off, it seems to separate around the entire circumference on dead ones. Hinges may be snappy too, they won't hold like live ones, so make sure you know where bits are weighted, no swinging off bits with pie cuts or triangular hinges. Did loads of dead ones last year, they're usually strong enough to climb, I'd probably just go one anchor point lower than normal.
  11. FAO Kev Bingham. I think I've managed to sell three possibly four wrenches for you....do i get a commision?
  12. Joe, if you're about on saturday head up this way and you can try out your sj with my wrench. I can't see there being an issue with the wrench hitting the lever as long as you keep it set properly and tend properly. The wrench weighs next to nothing so it would need an extra weight on it to pull the lever, and thats if it would even sit far enough down to touch it. You could get all fussy and say that a forked branch might sit on a prussik and give you a drop too, but what are the chances?
  13. What kind of weights are you talking?
  14. Steady on, he might not have the funding for your gear requirements! Good luck arran, whatever name you decide on:thumbup:
  15. Let andrew t know on his thread about it:thumbup1:
  16. No need to splice when using the rope wrench though!
  17. I'm in mate, keep us posted on progress
  18. Jonesies AA APF Hopefully got a minibus hired for the AA so be a gang of eastern arbs coming
  19. Nothing like me! Well, perhaps a little bit:001_smile:
  20. Hi will, I usually climb most saturdays so if you're about next weekend and fancy it let me know. I've got a few trees up near norwich on the A146
