  1. Oh, so nearly believable. Look close;)
  2. Both Velcro, but when you get them, loosen off the bottom bolt on the gaff and cinch the strap into it. Otherwise they end up riding down into your insole
  3. Ha, I wasn't touting! Just saying....
  4. Thanks, I imagined it would'vebeen, just curious. PSP-primary suspension point. Sometimes used as PTP - primary tie in point. All this modern SRTWP jargon
  5. Did you have any cause for concern for the integrity for the rest of the crown David? Interesting using a base anchor on a relatively small PSP in a tree known to have failed.
  6. I did a poplar that had occluded a roof a few years back. We ended up standing on the roof cutting chunks off to relieve the pressure, then vertically slabbing the stem out. Found a big wooden boat block while we were at it. Have fun:D
  7. Certain climbers will come with a rigging kit if required:)
  8. I carpeted my series. 12 months down the line everything in it was dyed the sane colour as the carpet. Still finding red tinted stuff 6 years down the line:D
  9. Pretty sure it won't, unless you can tweak the gate in a bit as you do it
  10. Couple of nice gano on a Poplar stump. The tree failed at the base 5 years or so ago, all that remains is the uprooted section
  11. Terrible news Stevie. Been there myself last year. Hope you and family are holding up
  12. Almost certainly an overenthusiastic ivy cut Going to have a closer look tomorrow.
  13. Impressive Inonotus dryadeus fruiting on a mature roadside Oak. Apologies for the poor shots, I ditched the truck in the road to get them, so was in a hurry!
  14. Get a butter knife and heat it til it's glowing. Have your rope electrical taped where you want to cut it and put the knife straight through. It'll seal as it cuts
  15. Dead man's fingers forming on the base of a dead sycamore. Not sure of what caused the tree to croak it, but I'm pretty sure large mechanical basal wounds don't help!
  16. Perhaps in certain industries but ime, not this one. It's an industry full of young men, having insurances like that would really not help the vast majority of contractors. To the op, try to give yourself an edge, work out what it is that is going to make you more employable than all the other lads who've just finished the course with you. Colleges are churning out more and more lads into an already saturated industry, the ones who get employed are the ones who have or give something extra. Good luck:thumbup:
  17. I use mine as a lowerable base anchor from time to time
  18. You'll miss them come November, prime leg warmers they are!
  19. Found this pair at the weekend. I assume the larger of the two is a queen. She was getting on for 4-5cm
  20. Good luck fella! Enjoy your last week as one of us grunts!
  21. :thumbup:cheapest nastiest stuff you can get
  22. Yes, though as it's a static tie, you can set it so the base anchor isn't loaded. Therefore you can keep the base anchor as a backup but work with only single loads on your psp
