  1. Thanks Felix and Steve, got my Sloe Gin & t-shirt:thumbup:
  2. I'm rather hobbit like too and it's also fine on my leg. That's using a zubat 330. When I use the one with the yellow scabbard, that is to big so it goes back on the harness - it's at times like that, that you really realise how good the sawpod is!
  3. How much did the Hitch Hiker cost delivered Old Mill?
  4. Good on you! Very mature attitude and plenty of get-up-and-go! Work safely and I'm sure you'll have a great start to your working life!
  5. Nice one chap! It looks sounds doesn't it, I like the way everything's flush, can see a real advantage to that. You look totally different to the way I had in my minds eye, no grey hair and big bushy tash.......I think it was the old in your user name haha!
  6. Can we have a pic of it on your head, it does look quite big on your kids?
  7. So it's because you became ill then yes....
  8. What changed to allow you to put weight on?
  9. Ah brilliant, that was my next plan, to get in contact with your good self:001_smile: That'd be ace buddy, thank you:thumbup1: Hope you're well and having a really good Christmas?
  10. Yes i see you're both as right as right can be! I think I'll wait until I can have a dabble on someone's before I go buying anything.....and if I do get something and a new version come out shortly after, does it really matter, no.....so all's good! Cheers chaps:thumbup:
  11. I suppose you're right drew which is a shame really! I was hoping it'd be like when a new iPhone comes out, everyone knows its on its way so you have the choice to wait if you like! Hello Matt, hope you're well! I'd like to give it a go, can see loads of advantages to it and it sounds to me like its the way forward. The main thing for me is there's never any added friction.
  12. I thought it'd be a nice idea to have a thread where you can find out about when new versions of bits of equiptment would be coming out. Things like the Rope Wrench, Spider Jack, Hitch Hiker and so on. I'd like to have a go at SRT so I'm in the market to buy some new gear. The one thing that's holding me back is getting something and then a week later the new version coming out and it being loads better, like the Rope Rench Mk1 & Mk2! If makers could put info in here that'd be great. If people want to talk about pro's and con's they could start a new thread to talk about it so it doesn't get too cluttered in here!
  13. I suppose it could be static rope work positioning? Whatever it is called, it all looks jolly good! I was going to wait to get a zigzag but I think I may just get a RW instead! I can see it being better for people with less weight, not having to fight a few limbs worth of friction, I sometimes have to thrust my hips so much to get my hitch to advance, I must look like I'm giving next doors daughter a knee trembler!!
  14. You'll have to give it a quick tug like a Hoover to make it recoil. I think the cinch will stop that from automatically happening.
  15. Darn, I came up with this idea a couple of years ago, had words with Nigel off here but it was never taken forward. Even called it the sidewinder haha! Always thought it was a good idea, it's great having a long lanyard but it doesn't half get on your nerves getting tangled in a messy bushy tree!
  16. Ah, there's no excuse for my stupidity....
  17. Are you saying there's a bloke in sheffield call Mr Burch that sells them Andy?
  18. Where in sheffield did you find them?
  19. Cool, I'll keep my eye out for some like that!
  20. Great! How come its rippled? Not heard of that before!
