  1. Hiya, no I haven't sorted it yet so thanks for taking your time to write that up! Thanks to all other that have given advice as well.
  2. Can you get kernmaster in the uk with a sewn eye?
  3. That's good to hear Ian. It'd be interesting to see a pic of what you're talking about with the safety side of things......not that I think it's unsafe....just curious. I'm looking forward to trying it on a thinner more static rope, it's my 40th in a couple of weeks so may get one for that.....or is that a little sad haha!!
  4. Been using my hedge trimmer/strimmer combo on 50:1 instead of 25:1 for the last two days and it's been sound. It's stopped smoking like Dot Cotton and it seems to be running cooler too, it used to get ever so hot after an hour!

I've got my plastering ones and thought about using them, they're very stable. You wouldn't want to fall on your hedge trimmer though, chuck it if you start to go!
  6. I did wonder if it was that, just couldn't work out why it only happened when it rained but I suppose most hitches get grabby when wet!
  7. Aye this is the one. I thought it a little strange at first and then I saw a pic of the oxam and I think they're just the same!
  8. Does anyone that uses the HH in drt find that it's really jumpy in the wet?
  9. I once ordered a chain with the wrong thickness drive links, it sparked like mad until it wore in!
  10. It must have been pitch black in that house before you did that! It's a wonder they didn't want it taking down, must like the privacy I suppose? Good job all the same 😀
  11. Just you be careful dude and don't be too proud to wear a life jacket beside the waterway!!!!!!
  12. Heck those Brazilian ones look a tad nasty!
  13. Quite like a Walnut Orb weaver?
  14. Now you've said that, I'm not sure really! You sound like you know what you're talking about so that'll do me, cheers. I'll let me friend know because he's got three little kids and one of them likes catching spiders
  15. I thought it looked too light in colour?
  16. I saw this spider round a friend house and wondered what type it is? A mate said it looks like a false widow but I didn't think it did. What do you think?
  17. What's the difference between their poison ivy and ours?
  18. Did a little take down yesterday using the HH and it was very enjoyable. The main thing that stood out was going back up the pole, I just clipped in the chest harness and pantin and then could run up the stem on spikes with it tending the hitch all the way up, didn't even have to use my lanyard. I got a metre of the Hrc and it works spot on, grips every time and slack tends perfectly. I was using a dmm krab but I've gone back to the CT that came with it and I think it does work smoother. Can't wait to do more using it 😀
  19. Good advice, I chap I know was doing that because a couple fell out. Very nice saw though 👍
  20. I get their steel karabiner with my hitch hiker, it looks nice and works really smoothly.
