  1. Well that was awkward but got there in the end! The vid below was a great help, thought I'd put it here for future reference.
  2. Mine oils terribly most of the time! I'm taking it back after the new year to hopefully get it sorted! The oiling is the reason I've been holding back with the drilling, don't want to void the warranty!
  3. Hello I'm in the process of of trying to change the brake band on my 346 and I'm struggling to get the spring back in. Is there a certain sequence?
  4. I got it from a shop called treekit. I think it's a relatively new place. The bloke I dealt with was called max and was really sound. When the rope arrived there was also a copy of their catalog, they seem to have everything!! http://www.treekit.com
  5. Haha! A thin rope seems to work better drt too, must be the decrease in friction over the branch. It's nice having loads less stretch now and the kern also flows through my pantin loads better.
  6. It's 13mm Yale xtc Al. I thought it'd be better on a thinner rope but didn't realise how much! I could only get 60m from a shop if not heard of before because all the usual ones on here had run out of the 50m until after Xmas!
  7. Did the carb need adjusting with the 8mm hole?
  8. Well, my 40th has arrived today.......and so did 60m of kernmaster 😃 The HH is totally different on it compared to my last rope! Before it was great, now it's blooming wonderful 😀
  9. How are people finding them oiling now? If you took yours back to have the oiler changed, did it work? Mine uses about 3 tanks of fuel to one tank of oil!
  10. A couple of lessons learnt there then..😀
  11. Have you seen this before? There's a little swearing going on!!
  12. Cheers Al, I had it completely wrong in my mind. I thought you base tied and then had to pass it over loads of tips once up there.....that could have been a lot of mucking about ha!
  13. Wow Kevin's video is brilliant isn't it! I would have been shy of using such small redirects but it just goes to show what's possible!
  14. That's what I have I mine and it very rarely slips down. I do like the idea of the swivel snap!
  15. Ah I see, I think.....could you take a pic next time you use it please?
  16. Could you point me to where those words of wisdom are please?
  17. Try making the eyes quite tight and I also put a little rubber stopper thing on the spline side of the biner to help the loop keep it's position. It's very rare I have any trouble at all now.
  18. Really Drew? I've always heard that you couldn't do it but Ben called me tonight and said it could be done, but with a very strange splice? What sort do you think it needs?
  19. I'd be up for it, sounds like a good gathering could be had!
  20. Does anyone know where you can get sewn eyes done? I notice in America you can buy kernmaster with a sewn eye but not here! Thanks Ger
