  1. When I was a kid I drank about a pint trying to get petrol out of my mums car! Ended up having to ring the doc at night and he said to drink three pints of milk to cancel it out. Always handy to know haha
  2. Have a drink of milk to cancel the petrol if it makes you feel funny.
  3. That was the definition of action packed!!
  4. The thing I read about the diesel I use(not sure which one not is) is that it's loads cleaner because it's made from gas and not oil, and also has a higher ignition temp so more compression is created before the bang. It's certainly changed the way my van runs, but that could also be due to it cleaning the engine. There is a definite difference if I have to put the cheap stuff in if I'm not near my garage, and I wouldn't have thought that would be due to the engine becoming instantly dirty again?
  5. Yes, I'm not quite sure what's going on but it seems exciting! Has he far to go to win?
  6. I think it's v-power. I researched for a while before I decided to spend more per litre but defo save more per mile. Sheffield's full of big hills so with chipper and a bit of a load I have to cane my van to get up them, and it's still good on fuel.
  7. I only ever put in £40 a week for what I do, and that used to be £50/£60 before. I had to put some normal in a while ago and I noticed the difference straight away. A friend has started to use it and he can't believe the change in his van, runs better and is far more economical.
  8. After changing to the posh diesel I spend loads less each week, and my van pulls up hills better too 👍
  9. Most things you see for sale are just under a round number, say £19.99 instead of £20, £99 instead of £100, it's a mental thing to make you feel as if you're getting a better deal. Maybe for your next quote, if you think it's worth £500, come in at £485/£495 or something and see what happens.
  10. A mates new one just says tc, it has the electronic carb and is a right beast 👍
  11. Mine felt real jerky when I first got it but after a bit of wearing in, and getting used to it, it got real smooth. I do find it's getting more unpredictable in the wet though, so much so that I swapped over to using it drt the other day whilst doing a pop! I've noticed my spline is starting to concave so maybe that has something to do with the change.
  12. I've been fine shovelling tonnes in the past with clouds of spores and then the time it got me it was only about tonne. I think if you shovel stuff that's started to go, it'll get you sooner or later
  13. I'm not sure Al but I do know one of the most rated ropes for the bone is tachyon and I'd have thought that'd be similar? I want to try and find the best rope to use the BDB and the zigzag on. The zigzag was an impulse buy, haha, but now I have it I want to make use of it in the rain. How are you finding your bdb? I always enjoy your reviews 👍
  14. It's strange that you can have been in the same position many times in the past and then all of a sudden it gets you! One of the chaps I work for has the chip getting stuck on his truck more often than not. The week after I got this I saw him using his feet getting the chip off in clouds of spores, it made me cringe, but he was fine!?
  15. Sounds like it! It's horrible isn't it! What sort of mask were you wearing? I've got one of the ones it mentions earlier in the thread to keep in the van but I'm still going to try my hardest not to even be in the position of getting it again!
  16. Has anyone used the bone on yale blue tongue?
  17. When I say well used I just mean that there's a difference between a new rope and one that's a year or so old. The rope it's self is fine 👍
  18. I'll probably get 30m or so of tach or blue T to have as a short rope Paul, my kern is 60m and that'll be a pain drt! Be nice if the BDB ran well on the blue T so I could use it for both on smaller trees and when it's dry
  19. Coolio 👍 The zz is brand new, it's the rope that's well used, so all's good hopefully. I normally climb srt on the BDB but it's getting real jumpy when it's chucking it down, so thought i'd give the zz a dabble on wet days!
