  1. It does make you laugh though when you go to give a quote and the client says johny up the road is charging £10.00 hr doing tree work, Why dont you get johny up the road to do this tree then? Oh because this 20ft conifer is too big for johny to do, Will you do it for £10.00hr thats a classic which sadly is happening far too often around here:confused1:
  2. Who charges by the hour anyway? all our work is fixed price irrespective of how long the job takes. An amatuer will take an hour just to fix up his ladder and tie on his blue polyprene rope then stand back scratching his head:lol:
  3. This works well (splitter not operator that only works when it wants something:001_tt2:)
  4. I just use the larger butts that have metal in and cut to the length the telehandler will lift?
  5. I cut 42 kilometres of public footpaths and bridleways for our local parish council, i dont cut hedges just the grass. I use a Kubota and flail with a FS400 for the areas the tractor cant get. I have to do 3 cuts per year, as a rough guide to cut all 42 kilometres takes me 5 days approx @ £250.00 per day (£250 x 5 = £1,250.00) - £1,250.00 divided by 42 = £29.76 Per Kilometer Like i say thats for grass not hedges, hope that helps

  16. I Like my L200, Pants at towing anything over a Tonne, thirsty but does all i ask of it. I use a transit for carrying weight, Pickup is just for off road sites, snowy roads etc, I know alot of people that dont like them....
