  1. Potential Roost Features, ie bat roosts. Cavities, flaking bark, dessication splits etc.
  2. Any decent PRFs?
  3. How did one of Joe Newton's screensavers end up there?
  4. I can agree with Steve, having worked on the same crew as Jose a few times.
  5. Saves me asking you this morning.
  6. There was a guy at the wood show in September at Cressing whose work looked good. My mate might have his details as he was on the stand next to him. I'll ask when I see him in the morning.
  7. New dog, mate?
  8. They are handy. It's worth buying or making a skidding cone.
  9. First name Ben, family agricultural business?
  10. Everything is instant in some people's eyes. Get a work only phone and switch it off when you don't want to be disturbed.
  11. Or isn't heading back by 3pm.
  12. You or the Coleman?
  13. If it's not your job, you might find your insurer disagrees.
  14. I mean are you covered by the landscapers insurance as working at height is normally excluded? It's one reason why insurance for landscaping work is cheaper than that for tree work.
  15. Does it cover you for climbing?
  16. It's also illegal to have somebody working for you and not hold EL insurance.
  17. It maybe that you have a sharp edge on the eyelet. You can buy them separately if the rest of the head is worth saving. https://www.spaldings.co.uk/grounds-maintenance/stihl-replacement-eyelet-sleeve--pk-10-(4002-713-8301)
  18. If the string is locking( I take it you mean it won't feed out when you bump the head), it suggests to me that either the line has been on there a long time or the head is getting hot enough to allow the line to fuse to itself. Do you grease the gearbox head regularly?
  19. You're veering away from the freelance labour aspect and heading more into taking on an aspect of the job, ie the waste removal, which would put you more in the bona fide subcontractor position. Personally, I would seek qualified advice on that one.
  20. Oh, come on. We've all said things that were highly tactless and thoroughly inappropriate when we were Foreign Secretary of Great Britain.
  21. Gunnera. I think they have some at Kew.
  22. Boris has something very similar.
