  1. I mean are you covered by the landscapers insurance as working at height is normally excluded? It's one reason why insurance for landscaping work is cheaper than that for tree work.
  2. Does it cover you for climbing?
  3. It's also illegal to have somebody working for you and not hold EL insurance.
  4. It maybe that you have a sharp edge on the eyelet. You can buy them separately if the rest of the head is worth saving. https://www.spaldings.co.uk/grounds-maintenance/stihl-replacement-eyelet-sleeve--pk-10-(4002-713-8301)
  5. If the string is locking( I take it you mean it won't feed out when you bump the head), it suggests to me that either the line has been on there a long time or the head is getting hot enough to allow the line to fuse to itself. Do you grease the gearbox head regularly?
  6. You're veering away from the freelance labour aspect and heading more into taking on an aspect of the job, ie the waste removal, which would put you more in the bona fide subcontractor position. Personally, I would seek qualified advice on that one.
  7. Oh, come on. We've all said things that were highly tactless and thoroughly inappropriate when we were Foreign Secretary of Great Britain.
  8. Gunnera. I think they have some at Kew.
  9. Boris has something very similar.
  10. I thought your daughter would have just thrown something sharp at it.
  11. Ah, that's why I had to tag Ali in the Landie back thread.
  12. Haix Protector Pro come up quite roomy. I find Meindl to be a bit snug though. You would really be best finding the time to try them on before buying IMO.
  13. History is written by the victors.
  14. Word.
  15. Remind me never to nick your lunch, Kevin.
  16. Have you checked the compression on it? It may be getting low enough when hot to cause the problem.
  17. Often a good starting point in diagnostics of any kind.
  18. Certainly is. I've seen you trying and you manage to connect about 1 in 4.
  19. Nice colour. Bet it goes well with your Hiflex.
  20. Nice thread and great pics, Rich. Looks like it's going well over there.
  21. We would be on different teams but I have worked with a lot like him who had some very funny stories to tell. I used to work with a very homophobic Zimbabwean twat who was constantly needling a very camp old dealer from Brum. He put the Zimbabwean bloke very nicely in his place by saying, after the umpteenth accusation of his being a pervert, " I might be a pervert but I still wouldn't shag you."
  22. I did nearly 20 years in the casino business before I started tree work. I bet I could make him blush without too much effort
  23. It's exactly why I joined.
