    I would rather be told if my posting was considered inappropriate or unwelcome by the mods rather go on blissfully unaware spoiling the forum. I know my sense of humour is a bit 'out there' sometimes but I try to only have a laugh with people who are up for it. It should be remembered that if anybody doesn't like reading the posts of any particular individual, there is I believe an 'ignore, button.

    Breach of contract, but is it worth the hassle? Basically, you had a contract to buy, he has breached the contract so you could take him to court and, if you won, either try for a decree of specific performance (to make him sell the original truck to you, which is unlikely if he has sold it to another) or for the difference in price if you can find a near identical vehicle to buy ( ie if it costs you 5k, you would aim to get the extra 1k from him).

    That's the value of a good forum, Steve. I learned about these thieving gits before I even owned any kit.

    I know that there was no excuse for stealing them but that is rather asking for it. Even when I'm just driving somewhere in the truck, my saws and any other easily lifted kit is locked on.

    I think that there should be a clear difference between the usual banter between regulars and the way the forum members treat newcomers who are genuinely searching for answers to their questions. In the current atmosphere of truth and reconciliation, if my posts have actually offended then I apologise.
