  1. Posting like this casts aspersions on all contributors to a thread. I would like to point out that I am not the person to whom Jesse is referring.
  2. Looks like you shouldn't have to worry then.
  3. Big enough charge and they just disappear. On a serious note, get a trail cam so you can find out who is doing it. If it is the people behind the hedge, go to the police about and don't take no for an answer. If it isn't them, I would imagine that they will either (a) know who it is, or (b) be rather concerned themselves and want it sorted too.
  4. I occasionally produce smells that could suggest I was dead or decaying
  5. Bugger, I found out this afternoon that we can't make the 15th. Would you let me know if you are going to go on the 22nd please?
  6. I don't know about the newer ones but I never felt uncomfortable in the drivers seat of my old one for a couple of hours at a time. I'm 6ft 5 and built for comfort, not for speed, so you can see there is plenty of room. Unlike a Defender, I could drive it with the window up.
  7. When I was choosing a company vehicle, it was the gearing that took the new Ranger/Mazda out of the equation straight away. I liked my old one as a good solid basic work truck but the newer ones seem too aimed at the Sport SUV market for me.
  8. Ford don't even build their own trucks, let alone test them. The older Rangers /Mazda B2500s have much the better gear ratios for towing but it still pays to put them in low ratio for reversing a trailer.
  9. I think it's a bit too old for him (X reg). I know what you mean about keeping it but it's been SORNed since Nov 2012 and only gets used by my other half's Dad for moving stuff about his land. Seems to be a bit of a waste when it would be a good work wagon for somebody.
  10. I'm selling my old one at the moment as, having a company car, I just can't justify keeping it anymore. Going to miss it when it goes. It was almost like a security blanket of 'I've still got my truck so I can go back to subbing if I don't like being employed'.
  11. Had one as my own truck before being given an Isuzu by my employer. Good solid trucks.
  12. Have you still got all your fingers left?
  13. Seeing as this debate comes up frequently, can this thread be 'stickied' please? Dan's description is clear and accurate and the points about LOLER are valuable from an employer's position as well.
  14. I used to do that too. Rather worrying when the beach you are fishing is Sizewell.
  15. Glad I wasn't the only one.
  16. Geoff is keeping suspiciously quiet.
  17.
  18. I wouldn't take the pee if you weren't a mate.
  19. Geoff is so old and wrinkly that he looks like Yoda's scrotum.
  20. Must have hit the estate. There was a willow top snapped when I got in on Monday. We had a brief spell of thunder and lightning in Maldon as well.
  21. I will have a word with Lisa's Dad and see which suits him. Hopefully the 15th as I have something on in the evening on the 22nd. Thanks for the offer.
  22. Only if it's conifer, I think.
