  1. Actually, 'a 5 year old ' isn't a bad password.
  2. UKIP's value is in upsetting the complacency of the mainstream parties but I would be deeply concerned if they got their hands on any real power as they seem to lack any actual defined policies. They have successfully tapped into people's concerns about immigration, fuelled by the media. I have a problem with immigrants entering the UK with the intent of taking more then they give in return. I have just as much of a problem with homegrown wasters who have no intention of working to support themselves when they are happy to take from those of us who do. I don't have the answers to people already in the UK but the immigration problem can be solved by adopting the stance taken by Australia (I think it was Tony Rudd but not 100% on that) which was to say if you want to come to Australia to integrate and contribute, you will be welcomed, but if you want to come for other reasons you should stay away. I am fully aware that this country could not function without immigrant labour. I have no idea as to how I will vote but I am leaning towards the status quo as they don't seem to be doing too bad a job on the economy. No politician will ever do everything that you want but you need more to vote for the one whose policies damage your interests the least.
  3. I have to say that is rather judgemental. It could just be the local bike with a scag habit.
  4. And make sure that your terms are the last ones specified. It's known as 'Battle of the forms'.
  5. Check your deeds. It should all be in there.
  6. Fnarr, Fnarr!
  7. I tend to put some of my own signs out.
  8. Ah yes, we all have 'that mate'.
  9. Voice of experience, Ian?
  10. Think how much worse he would have been if Spike and I hadn't weaned him off the raw chicken.
  11. I didn't know ASDA did them too. They are nearer than Sainsbury.
  12. Another one for Lavazza here at home, but on site I sometimes have one of the cardboard filter coffees from Sainsbury. They fit nicely on my mug and the smell is just as good as the taste.
  13. Funniest one I ever heard was a guy who worked in the same casino as me some years ago. He had already put his notice in and phoned in to say he wouldn't be coming to work that night as there was something wrong with his eyes. When asked what was wrong with them, he replied 'I can't see myself coming into work'.
  14. I think it's laughable that there is so much fuss about it all. As I see it, somebody who can't control their temper has spat the dummy and physically assaulted another person because they didn't get what they wanted for dinner. There was a meal supplied and Clarkson, like myself, doesn't look to be in danger of starving even if one wasn't.Obviously completely unacceptable among adults and justifiably a sackable offence. Let's face it, hardly a 'fight or flight' situation. Pathetic behaviour really.
  15. Do people buy used needles on Ebay?
  16. Then you need help. It's actually something Geoff asked me to look after for him.
  17. I don't think the OP has done anything wrong. He asked a fair question which had arisen from something he was told. He didn't name his employer, he didn't complain about them and he didn't say he was God's gift. He certainly hasn't done or said anything to cause offence.
  18. Cheers. I wondered where I had left that.
  19. They are a great winch but a bit more of an investment. I did a job last year with one where we chokered large piles of brash and dragged them up the hill to the chipper, saving loads of exertion on the part of everyone apart from the guy running the rope back down the hill. They will pull surprisingly large loads up some nasty slopes.
  20. Hit the nail on the head there.
  21. Can't beat the embarrassment factor. It's always nice if you can time it for when they have guests.
