  5. I got pulled last night and was told that I needed a tacho because of the plated weight of my vehicle and trailer. Not the fact that I had any weight on the trailer or vehicle. Also I would need an operating Licence as well as I get a "reward" out of selling my logs as in hire or reward.

  10. I do intend to place a filter on the tap. Really looking for ways to connect the tanks. Smiths of Forest of Dean do something but looking for a more industrial way.
  11. I am not really worried about the quality of the water! Or the colour for that matter. Its only for watering the plants and washing cars etc.
  12. I am in the process of moving to a new yard and want to harvest the rainwater. I have access to a good supply of IBCs. I am looking to connect 3 or 4 IBCs together so the when one is full the water transfers to another etc etc. I would be interested in photos, experience etc.

  14. I am currently using a BGU processor. Looking to change very soon but am still researching makes. Ref the maggots do they work their way down the tree from the needles then?

  16. I have been processing a lot of larch lately. I have been plagued by robins and wrens on the timber deck, on closer inspection they are eating the small white maggot types that are exposed when the bark falls off. The timber is 24 months old, I have also seen a lot of Wood Wasp larvae I the timber. What are these maggots as the birds go wild for them?

  18. Update just received from his boss: Operator just badly concussed.
  19. There are at least 3 other guys working with him. 1 cutter 1 forwarder driver 1 harvester That I know of. I would be very surprised if he managed any reception in the valley. One thing I did learn the other day is if you dial 112 the operator can immediately see on a map exactly where you are.
  20. What I would love to know is what mobile network he is on!! I never have reception and tried all major providers!!
  21. Link below . Man sustains spinal injuries when falling branch hits his neck near North Molton | North Devon Journal The seaking landed in my yard but I was not there! Thoughts go out to the poor chap, I hope that his injuries are not too severe. I believe he is from the Bridgwater area.
