  1. Does anybody know of a company that makes generic sprockets for firewood processers? Currently paying a fortune from the dealer and looking for a cheaper supplier. Does anybody know how to measure and get the correct specifications? Thanks in advance
  2. Now on Channel 4 how they pay for their weddings. Not the legitamate way.
  3. Hello mate, I have had exactly the same query as you. Was using remachined Cannon Bars 16" machined down to 15", an expensive way of doing thiungs and was never quite right! Spoke to Rob D on here about using Sugihara Bars. It has been the best decision I have made in along while!!!!!! Excellent service managed to get 45 tonnes plus done before I even considered getting the bar "dressed" I am using the laminated bar at the moment but am seriously considering the solid bar. Use mine on a BGU processor too. Any queries please pm me.
  4. Do people actually live on Flatholm? I thought it was just a few dozen wild goats!
  5. Whilst not wishing to shoot you down, this question gets asked very very frequently. I am sure if you search old posts you will find an answer.
  6. Well said!! I am just interested to see who else subs to them. Its been a long season, and thankfully finishes on the 1st April until November. I am getting bored of driving 400plus miles a night and currently sat on the side of the A30 at whiddon down with a blown radiator and waiting for my fitter to finish his Sunday roast before coming out to repair/ replace.
  7. Absolutely no problem whatsoever! They are both excellent companies who are good to work for and pay quickly. Just interested to see who else grits for them.
  8. Does anyone hear sub to either of these companies or know anyone that does?
  9. Does anybody know of a producer of wood pellets in the South West of England? More and more of my customers are changing to pellet boilers and keep asking me for a price.

  18. Somebody once told me that the only difference between rats and squirrels is that squirrels have a better PR team! Quit right if you think about it.
  19. What part of Somerset are you, do you want hard or soft wood?
  20. Bio-solids can only be spread on to land which is due to be cultivated. It cannot be spread onto grassland for the above reason. It can only be applied to land where combinable crops are being grown and not ground destined for Vining Peas, Fieldscale vegetables (Lettuce, brassicas etc) Sugar Beet or Potatos. The same applies to the pellets that are produced by Anglia and Southern Water. They where practically possible have to be incorporated within 24hrs. Your local Environmental Health office will have been notified about the sludge injection as well as The EA. Whilst I accept that it is not very "nice" it has to go somewhere. I spend most of the Summer spreading this under contract To Anglia Water and imagine the grief I get when spreading next to large populations on a Bank Holiday. The short answer to this is: You stop producing it, we will stop spreading it!
  21. Thanks for keeping us all upto date. You are better than the met office at forecasting.
  22. I would be interested to hear peoples views, as I am in the same boat as well, currently using a single phase pto generator. I will in the near future be planning to purchase a 3 phase kindling machine as well as running other 3 phase motors. I am considering mounting a 3 litre transit engine onto 2 RSJ's and run these through a David Brown back end/gearbox. I would like to try and run the engine on LPG as I have heard that Diesel engines gum up due to not being worked hard. I would appreciate any comments or criticisms that people have . I cannot justify 5K at the moment on a self contained generator.
  23. Lots of cloven hoof prints in the mud around the area!! Sadly not from rudolph though!! Big Cat was seen on a neighbouring far about 10 days prior to finding these pieces of Bark, the crown would be a lovely spot for a cat to spend the day in the sun away from lots of bother.
  24. Where abouts in the South West are you and what are you looking to do? What qualifications do you have? How old are you? Can you drive? What experience do you have? I am looking for someone part time but you will have to sell yourself to me!!
