  3. the amount of times of fecked around with throw lines and thought why didnt i just stick a ladder up , pictures are alaways hard to tell buit if its a relativly straight fell , then a decent size digger woont have any problems puilling it even if the ropes only half way up ,(having said that im not there so it may all look different up close ) dont over complicate it !
  4. 3 sections of ladder ,rope round , get digger to pull it job done
  5. for what its worth , I bought my first chipper for just over 2500 and it lasted me nearly 4 years with only minor faults so it is possible to get something ,it just probably wont be very shiny ! oh and if you do get a bit more money look at jensens ! ive bought one and and ive gota say I don't think id go back to a timberwolf . best of luck and try Robert at arborcut , very good to deal with and has stacks of machines so ring him with you budget and spec your after ,don't just look on the website give him a call in person

  7. you can easily patch the bulk head i wouldnt be 2 concerned about that , early td5's pre 2003 suffered with oil in the ecu via the injector harness ( cheap fix if you catch it before it destroys the ecu ) fuel pump problems seem to be pretty common , air mass flow sensors tend to go ,have a google and maybe a flick on one of the landy forums . dont be put off though as every thing you buy at some point has issues best of luck
  8. is it the red and black one ? seems like an honest seller good description etc , td5's dont come without there faults though and can be pricey , having said that a good one will last years , tempted to bid on myself !lol
  9. worst mistake i ever made was trying to dig out a blackthorn !i even took a scalpel to it and nearly made my self pass out , ended up having surgery cos i pushed it deeper into a tendon ! ouch ! keep it clean if everything goes red go to the hospital !

  22. I did wonder how much the engine was worth ,I have contemplated stripping it down and selling parts but it would be ideal for somone with a bit of knowledge and time. Over the last few years I've seen more new ones go wrong that this one so maybe If it Doenst sell il keep it and play around with , good to hear from you , is Ross behaving him self ? When he's not abroad !!!
  23. hi shane , well its starting to have seen better days , had all the bearings, anvils changed etc etc but the shaft is now knackered and made a mess the other day while running flat out , theres a leak from the hydraulic reverse valve and for some reason every now and again the engine drags in air from somewhere , despite changing the fuel lines 3 times , its done me proud though , cant grumble really its been a good machine but i think id rather spend the money else where now , so its up for sale if any bodys interested !
