  2. Best one was after dropping 14 tree to the ground the customer said it wasn't a part of the deal to have them on his lawn, the only other place was his house or the neighbours, some people just don't think
  3. Must admit I've seen a boom small one man bands round the villages that I live in and there is plenty of work going around

  6. I had a advert on the radio( didn't pay for it out my own pocket) got one job that came to the sum of £80 it's a very expensive for a add and well depends othe station and the people who lissns to it, to be honest I wouldn't bother going down that route

  9. hey all was haveing a converstaion with someone about the fines imposed for doing work on a tree with a tpo, as i understand there are fines and a criminal record but how much can the fines be as this person was addimant that it was a soft touch fine input please

  11. depends on what course u do tho cause work and college are two seprate things college helps u get ur tickets and teach u the basics something to build upon when u getinto the work place

  21. college can be a good option gives u more of a academic grasp of what tree work is all about and gives u a good taster for the job (not that it is anything like the real world) but it give a bit of every thing tree climbing saw use all that kinda stuff, its then less stress for a employer to try and give u a all round experiance and plus u would most proberley just be brash dragging for quite some time, it also gives u a choice of where to take the job as if u want to be on the ground or up in the tree or if u want to go down a full on academic root, and plus u get some kit and tickets that can save u a bit of dollar in the long run, i went and studyed arb at cannington its not that far from u, and is a ok college, and the tutor's are good there, i have a few people talk to me about wanting to do this and well i taken them tree climbing and they have pooped them selves and not wanted to do it,i think its a good starting base at college to get a feel for things

    yeah was dealing with western power first there all happy, no charge just thinking what is easier, the client wants me to do it, so waiting for all the facts befor the quote is then given

    hey all i have a job coming up and its a wait for it ... a very nice conifur hedge that has been left for goodness knows how long it has power lines and bt lines running at least a meter thew it, now i have had western power out they said there line is fin as long as i take it away bit by bit, no problem there but the bt cables are running far more into it then the power cables, the guy from western power said there is no point calling b to get them to do anything about it cause they wont, just wondering if anyone else that had any experiance dealing with this kinda dilema:thumbup: thank you all
