  1. he sneeks about jobs when i have called up to make sure there are nothing on a tree im working on, clients told me the tree officer has been round
  2. and im not the tree office haha wish i was on there money, and im no one for moaning cause i think tpo's are good but not when the work is coming in
  3. no its c.k nice person just seams to put alot of tpos on plymouth has over 5000
  4. i have a few jobs coming in where trees are in conservation areas, no tpo trees just in theses designated areas, now every time i have one i have to submit a notification to the tree officer and planning, to carry out work, this comes in a form or email, and can be time consuming with a few calls to my local tree officer ( who just loves to stick a tpo on a tree if u propose the slightest thing wrong or he dosn't agree with what ur client wants, ever time i talk to him he has put on at least 2 from these notifications) now my question is it takes up my time and well should i charge for this service? if so im stuck on price?? dont want to go over the top, or turn down work, what do u lot do ??? cheers

  10. its from a 60ft tree i dismantled some bigger chunks were left to big to get out the garden so the coustomer wanted them but i have a fair sized stack in my back yard

  16. yeah we do have a massive bay hedge ive got the joys of cutting the beast next month
  17. yeh that is the place, its a nice place for a wedding there are also loads of other events up there ones that dont affect the landscape
  18. yeah they have no chance of it coming down, seen as all staff are aposed and its my weekend off, and the festival is in full swing now anyway, if any of u have a chance to go up and look at the trees that are up there i would advise it, and the gardens are really good to (not that i haven't helped maintain it or anything hehehe)

  21. hey all i work at mount edgcombe country park and house as a arb and today i was asked if i could cut down a 500 year old oak tree in a wood land to create a better entrance point thew the woodland for trainsit vans to get thew into a historic garden, what would ur response be ..... bearing in mind it is for a hippy tree hugger festival and there is a perfectly good entrance point (it was requested by a organiser of the festival not one of my bosses)

  23. some people just want something for nothing and its just closeing that door of opertunity for them open to other ways of closing that door
  24. well i could see it working i helped do a rtc at cannington college for a open day and festival event, and there was always a good flow of people wanting to have a go, all we did was set up a fixed rope to a cambium saver around a tree and let them go up and down, be great for school fetes and events like that and people are always intrested in it and want to have a go
  25. well then a full refund of the deposit thaken if it is a fault on my part, there are simple measures that can be taken to keep it in a professional realm and not look like a doggey crook, it nice to hear so many thoughts on this and so varyed, so another question what other procaustions can be taken to stop customers not paying or cancerling the job at the very last second ??
