  1. how old is the seller???? 7 ?
  2. no can do unfortunately.....busy busy busy:thumbdown:
  3. I cant see how it is a 'big issue' with regards sales. Arb talk members will be involved but even if I put it all together myself and it was a fine and interesting product for a childrens charity people would still buy it surely??
  4. Think you'll find on poage 1 of this thread that John mentioned it first Frank! Yes I'd like to involve the members in some capacity for sure!
  5. brilliant.......reminds me of the ones at work in richmond pk:thumbup: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/9795-mutant-beechs.html
  6. such flattery will get yo nowhere Mr D.....:
  7. Thanks for all the input and feedback guys...... With regards funding the calender I have spoken with Steve and we will try and raise the necessary printing costs through sponsorship. Possibly looking at getting a sponsor for each month. I'm definately leaning towards an informational calendar as mentioned before. Not too in depth but educational and interesting with nice photo's. No scantily clad bodies.....sorry boys and girls! With regards John's idea about a photography competition it is something that can possibly be incorporated with perhaps the winner getting their image on the front cover. Will possibly put a shout out for potential images to be incorporated into the calender but have a large library of potentials myself and was kind of thinking it would be a good platform to show some of my work but as i have said before its early days and this thread is intended to throw additional ideas around and test the water. I was also thinking about including some 'pearls of arboricultural wisdom' that get thrown around here. Quotes, one liners, helpul hints and tips with regards tree works etc so if there are any you remember in particular please let me know so I can start compiling! Thanks again Sean
  8. good points Hama.....specs should be open to interpretation and have an element of flexibility. People are writing specs from what they see from the ground! It can change once seen from up in the canopy.
  9. Count me in Hama.....would love to come along for a foray..
  10. good plan mate1:thumbup1:
  11. he means the one on his forehead i think.....:confused1: only joking....dont even know the bloke:001_smile:
  12. Norton commando 1971 NORTON COMMANDO 750 Roadster on eBay (end time 13-Jun-10 21:00:15 BST)
  13. as i said this is a BASIC template....just to get the idea off the ground. I will be aiming to ncorporate as many photo's as is possible.
  14. Arbtalk Calender....... I am working on an idea with regards putting an Arb Talk calender together for 2011 with all proceeds going to The Childrens Trust at xmas. The calender will run along similar lines to my tree of the month thread with general info about a particular tree, wood properties, myths and legends, uses, species of wood decay fungi and its effect on host trees (Will be asking Hama and David to help me with this one!) Hopefully we can incorporate Arb dates into the calender......carving events, arb shows. climbing comps etc.........a diluted down Arb Talk in paper form if you like. So what do you all think? Good idea? Would you buy one? What would you like to see in it? ( I have attached a basic template but this is a very early prototype to give you an idea of what it might look like.) calender1a.pps
