Did you manage to get a close up of the underside of the big one with the holes/fissures (?) in it. Looks like something is either boring in to the pore surface or maybe pecker after something already inside This at R P sean? No close up unfortunately David......Deer crap everywhere.......but for you.....i shall.........delegate! Was In Richmond Park yes.......Willow limb, horsechestnut limb, Oak Limb and Beech Limb all gone in the last couple of days. Big HC failure in Bushey Park too today. I'm sure added weight of leaves is a contributing factor.

This limb failed this morning. Some fantastic Fomes brackets.....one of them v.big. Extensive white rot caused by Fomes? Tree was earmarked for a reduction in the Autumn....oh well looks like nature got there before us.
