  2. Here' the first of what i'm sure will be many offerings. Small wood in North London.
  3. Went for a walk in a small wood in Barnet today. (very nice it were). Lots of stacked and fallen deadwood. Was early in morn and wasnt quite awke so although i took the photos I didnt get round to looking in more detail as to what species. Is it applamatum?

  5. A few from today in petersham meadow......i have never seen so many bumble bees in one place. Any i'd on Mr orange?
  6. I have a minute scratch on the lens which in certain lights and angles refracts the light......its a pain the. I read that you have a scratch too? I'm going to look at how much to get it sorted although if its too much then will just have to be spending time on photoshop from time to time.
  7. Had a look at this mimosa today.....absolutely covered in these little critters. Any advice on the best way of dealing with them?

  9. Steve. Just giving this a little bump. Have watched the polls with interest and taken notes about ideas offers of help etc. Will let the poll run for a while longer then get down to the nitty gritty's (regarding qty's, funding, etc etc). General feedback is very positive......coolio:thumbup:

  15. Not the most beautiful or aesthetically pleasing for sure but still an asset none the less.
  16. No top pic David and only just managed to get this one before it dissapeared through the chipper! (too busy listening to said RP TO going on) Very very little bark on the limb. Totally sun backed and bleached most of it.
  17. Evidence of trees hit in germany seem to suggest that trees that are stressed due to drought seem to be getting it more so than others. So deffo a possibility i suppose.
  18. Common name Massari Platani. Found on plane trees in warmer mediterranean countries although recently occuring in Germany and Holland. Also found in USA. I have it on very good authority that this dead branch i cut out yesterday show the effects of it. Generally it is the top of a limb effected making it difficult to spot from the ground. Here you can see the trough running along the top and C.O.D.I.T.

  20. I've got a slim mac book pro.......160gig, photoshop, quark, adobe reader.....light and small........dont need an ipad.......can carry this to jobs easily.
