  1. Get somebody to do it who does not need to ask......thats my advice.....nothing wrong with getting advice.....thats what this forum is for. But this is as Tommer said potentially fatal for an inexperienced operative.

  7. took delivery of the La crosse boots today.....man.....are they comfy.....like ive been wearing them years......got them with added insulation. Supposed to be 100% waterproof....we shall see:001_smile:

    Not really....used to enjoy canoeing when younger but am aiming to klayak down the Helford River in cornwall in the next couple of years to photograph trees:thumbup1:

  17. \Some examples of how trees of different species grow up together.....embracing one another...in some cases quite literally! I especially like pic 3....pine, oak, holly and rowan.....lovely.

  19. Two seperate oaks......one street tree and the other in a private garden overhanging the road. 1st pic (white) on a street tree. This was on a large dead stem. Second one......a big old oak right on the boundary to Osterley park which has a few vet oaks....no idea what they are:confused1:
  20. Tranquilize it first or it will just keep moving around and will be a bugger to carve...................sorry.
  21. It doesnt surprise me at all.......having spent 3 years doing street trees in london and encountering many an imbecile trying to enter our work sites. Weve had people driving there cars at full speed at us......a guy threatening to shoot a colleague......we've had a school teacher trying to crocodile walk a bunch of kids under the tiger tape and through the site because 'its too dangerous to cross the road'........i drove past the guys working in chiswick on monday and there site was fully signed up, barriered and taped......Mental.
