  2. Have to agree with David.....think i'd have made a nice rip cut/coronet combo.....made it safe, created habitat and natural looking.....only a thought for the future?

    I'm pretty convinced it was Ganodermapheiffadsperciellinus. Some are really subtle.......fascinates me this......in that 'non place on a crevice of a fungus, a beings life plays out.

    Was breaking open some old gano's today to see what lay within (as you do!) Within 1 were 4 of these beetles......no entry points at all....weird! Was if theere had been eggs layed there and that was there existence! Any ideas what they are.......fascinating stuff anyway. In another there were loads of very small golden colored ants........coudnt get a shot.....but i will!

  22. How do i not work in the real world??? I quote plenty of jobs every week and if i saw this I would take our mewp for a 20% red. I do plenty of jobs for private clients for my firm. (climbing and mewping)....a mewp would take 5 mins to set up.....i said IF there was access to a mewp......and This is a job which would be far easier and quicker with a mewp.....especially on a 20% reduction....which is the percentage bandied about in the initial post.
  23. if i wanted to do a 20 % reduction on this tree and had access to a mewp i'd use it.
  24. looks like a mewp would be handy to do a sympathetic reduction..........as for time of year....if we all waited for the optimum time then we'd get next to nothing done!
