  1. Got to have a big table makes the world of difference on your back not having to bend down all the while picking lumps up several times
  2. Before we installed the pto pump kit that you can get with it.
  3. Its made in ireland by a company called sullivans engineering really pleased with it.
  4. Our little compact with a 16ton pto pump splitter on it earning its keep finally for us.
  5. I owned one as my first chipper the one i got was abit of a dog to be honest, never really used it in anger as it broke everytime i took it out. I wasnt impressed with the roller as others have mentioned. Very very very weak pulling and crushing power in the roller. Heres a video when i first got home with it. Shouldnt put the clutch in on full revs and i didnt no theres a switch to turn on and off the no stress as you can see i was running with it off as it nearly stalls. I ended up taking it back to where i bought it as everything was falling to bits like the fan went throuh the radiator the first time i took it on a job hydraulic oil was all milky and kept getting water in it. On the plus sode they are buit like a tank and very strong things with very easy to get to blades and maintenence is a doddle on it.
  6. i picked a L200 due to my friends have had several different age and model L200s and has taken them off road and really abused them and has never had a issue with any of them. we bought it with the idea to convert it to a pro tipper at first but then this seemed like a much better solution. the land rover has the advantage of cheap parts and the 3.5t towing.
  7. We carry 2-3 guys in that truck with all the gear daily, i have a tool box built in aswell as what limited room is in the crew cab depending on if there is 2 or 3 guys on that day. Im not going to say its amazing offroad with a full load on as its not i got majorly stuck yesterday upto the axles as did the landrover 3 times but touch wood that is the only time ive been stuck with it and we have been in some very wet and boggy places. Only downside is it is pretty rubbish for timber because of the toolbox you can still overload your self but its not as easy and you have to plan what bit is going to fit in where but we just use our landrover or bring our trailer to solve that.
  8. Ive had 2 transit tippers and there great, you can fit way to much in and constantly overweight. We have a land rover 130 tipper which is over weight and i hate it im not a land rover fan. Now we have had our l200 tipper done that is our main chip truck you can get 3 cube of chip in the back its a very handy truck.
  9. Working very well havent had a single issue with the conversion after we beefed up the rear springs best thing we have done is convert it works hard day in day out.
  10. just bought one very handy machines, got a old screw splitter on the PTO just bought a new 16t splitter to run on the hydraulics aswell, just want to find a front loader for it.
  11. A mature poplar we could straight fell for a change, had peter haine in to pick up the big stems.
  12. Not as yet, we have a friend with a big expensive computer he can plug in but hes real busy at the moment and trying to get him over to plug it in is the trouble
  13. Does it happen to have a couple of su carbs on it aswell?? We could take that off your hands if so!!
  14. Yes we wired it upto a battery and it pumps fuel alright doing it that way still wont fire up though.
  15. Well im not a fan of land rover so i agree with you there im interested in the V8 though you cant beat a V8 sound
  16. Me and a friend of mine have bought a r reg 1998 discovery 1 3.9 v8 efi as a offroad toy. Bought it cheap as its a non runner been stood for a few years. We went had a look poured some petrol down the air intake fired straight up sounded good. Thought would be a simple electric problem like a relay or burnt out fuel pump, or the lpg kit. It had a LPG kit fitted took all of that off it, checked all the fuses and relays all fine. Wired up the fuel pump to a battery that worked fine. Pulled out all the dash the spider alarm has been removed and bypassed already, had the ECU out all looks fine inside there. We cant for the life of us work out why we cant fire it up its got to be a immobiliser issue surely? The key turns to light up the dash put wont turn over the engine because someone has wired in a push start button. We wired it back to the key it will crank it for a split second then cut out and wont crank it again till you remove the key and move it away from the car and then go back. We get a good spark cranking it over but the injectors dont seem to open the computer doesnt pump fuel either so im almost sure its a case of the computer locking us out. The key has a 2 button fob which doesnt do anything, we replaced the battery in it still nothing. Short of ideas now apart from paying for someone to plug it into a computer or buying some twin SU carbs for it both of which will be pricey and cant afford to do it on a toy like this at the moment. What would you landy lovers be looking at next?
  17. Diff is from my little suzuki vitara offroad toy i have such a laugh, just bought a old disco 3.9l v8 petrol which will be much more fun!
  18. My 372 went bang today so got to fit a new pot and piston, at the weekend i snapped the frpmt halfshaft on my offroader so been taking the front diff apart if only i could find a replacement half shaft!
  19. My hobbies used to be playing competitive football, cricket and table tennis and the gym 6 days a week, and disappearing with a backpack for a few days wild camping and rock climbing. Now i only find time to play football, tinkering in the garage when my daughters asleep and every now and then get to take my toy offroader to a pay and play to let off some steam.
  20. It would have been half the price for him aswell we could have just smashed them all over in oners apart from a few over the summer house and taken half the time if not less than half the time but then he would have had to pay for a fence and stump grinding ahh well i wont be going back there for a good few years now!
  21. Half way through the client said to us ideally id love to get rid of them and put a fence there! Why get us to retop them i have no idea they were lethal we retoped them at the same height they were done before this pic gives a picture of how long they have been left! Only shows a very small part of the whole hedge.
  22. Because we as a company love being depressed and annoyed and ruining all our kit by working on them obviously mark
  23. We never work on conifers...... Only 90% or so might be conifers this was the best one last year!
  24. I thought that then i thought yer screw that ill get a 25tonner in to crane it down
