  2. ahhh well i have been known to be abit of a devil haha was a decent size nick made effortless with the grcs though
  3. yer i just unclipped with that bit cause it was abit big really, the 2 stems got pulled together with that bit they normally were 6ft apart if not more. cack handed only the best people are left handed how did ya tell?
  4. that was what we would have done and ran it through a pulley at the base and upto the top pulleys we didnt have any real suitable trees to use for the grcs, but the groundies were more than happy with it as it was
  5. its all about the prussik mark yer all timber was staying in rings, we winched chipper up the garden so sprayed all the chips to, cant beat leaving everything had a fire for rakings sorted been there all week doing stuff

  12. first day back from holiday, had these two pines an a apple to fell and a conny hedge to reduce, was quoted not by me as a dismantle, so felled them made for a nice easy day.
  13. im affraid that clashes with the undatables mate haha
  14. climbing line is fine in the washing machine just put it inside a old pillow case and tie the end up and put it straight in the machine
  15. Where do you stick it though so it doesn't get damaged but isn't on a bit of plastic cover they can replace in a few mins a good idea though
  16. If you buy 1 of there hydraulic tanks you can buy them will all the parts gauges filters etc then u need a pump then a bell housing and engine coupler to connect the engine and pump then the valve and finally the ram other than that it's just hoses to connect them all there pretty simple things really they will be able to tell you more than me but they will email you back tomorrow I'm sure
  17. welcome to the forum if i was building another one i would buy the whole kit with engine from them, when i first started this project, i had a engine and ram already, so that kit would have been overkill for me, it turned out in the end the engine i had was old and knackered so had to order a new one, if you get in contact with flowfit they are very useful or a hydraulic shop near you for advice, i would advise to find out what your powering it with first then you can match things with that so a 13hp engine is fine running a 16GPM pump which is what i have then you need to match the hydraulic oil tank to match the pumps needs, searching the net you can find out most things you can always ask questions on here and people will give you advice.
  18. Long gone mate, it sucks as that was a pretty much new one with not a lot of use in it! We're surprised it went as we were working in someone's back garden the truck was all the way behind the house with us with all the tools behind it!
  19. just a quick one to let people in the norfolk area know, while onsite today in Dersingham near kings lynn working on the main road we have had a 200t stolen from site. keep a eye on your gear guys!
  20. Nice, its a safer method than what i do with small bits i cant hold, i just tie them to my lanyard and do the same cut them up or untie and throw down in a better position in the tree.
  21. I really wouldnt bother its handy for negative rigging as said you can catch the slack as its falling above the pulley, also you can tension the line up before you cut a lump off
