    Lol!

good stuff cant beat abit of messing around.
  4. nice job looks like a beast of a tree to take down.
  5. ive found it really useful when spikeing up poles instead of pulling my self up. say you spike up conifer take all branches off then its time for lunch or whatever u stick your running bowline on wherever you are up the pole. then when you go back up again you stick the mini traxon on the single line and you can spike back up and it automatically runs though the pulley, but if you fell its got you. saves you haveing to stop and take slack out of rope all time when spikeing back up. properly sounds confuseing but its hard to explain. good bit of kit though.
  6. customer wanted a seat out of a cherry we dismantled today. so heres my 5min attempt at a seat. shame bout the boreing in cuts still left but cant be avoided really. would look good oiled and sanded has a really lovely grain to it.
  7. this was my arm last year branch snaped on conifer and i landed ontop of saw.
  8. id rather use that machine rather than spraying all the bracken in a woodland definetly. horrible job spraying.
  9. theres always a way i find to find enough space to wrap my rope into a throw bomb, goes over the branch and undoes its self and end comes back to you. takes practice and more practice to get good at your aim but its the basic skill you will need.
  10. no shots im affraid wish i had taken some as im sure u no how wonderful some of the trees are at sandringham.
  11. proberly this week is best job had to work on queens estate at sandringham at princess diannas old house. some really old amazing cedars and oaks. they had tree report done 16 trees needed work on them and they couldnt stretch the budget that far apparently so they only had 3/4 trees done instead.
  12. since i work with different people i always get slightly different fuel mixes which doesnt bother me. but does it matter mixing different chain oils? thanks in advance
  13. we also working opposite this what was a lovely oak tree. needed to be reduced cause of its location but obviously they got the cowboys in to do it.
  14. done loads of little reductions today, this is just pic of the 3 little beech trees which were down for 30% reduction.
  15. i cant let my self give my lockjack a chance. Going up on lockjack is great but going down on it i cant get on with it no matter how long i practice with it. hitch for me
  16. beech have always been my favourite tree of all time and love climbing them aswell smooth bark, so easy to cut great to climb, but i also love straight up pines or populars cause there so easy to work in part from all the sap.
  17. as all the above have said get used to re-directs, high anchor point, keeping your line as straight as possible going out on limbs. loads of slings different lengths to wrap around and use as footholds and just take your time.
  18. exactly what i was thinking. still good job
  19. todays job nice dead elm dismantle had this girl down by lunch all logged up and taken away by 3pm nice friday job
  20. bit of a harsh sentance that compared to drink drivers etc that get like 1 year ban or something
  21. prussic 90% of the time and 10% of time i use icicle hitch. have a icicle hitch on my lanyard all time. personally i find that the icicle bites better than others. only problem ive had is that it sometimes becomes hard to pull the slack out after it been loaded for a length of time.
