  1. Speak to them, emergency notice usually is given on the day, find out who the local highway inspector is, where is the job my assistant has phone numbers for quite a few round England and Wales
  2. Emergency tm means just that roll up on the day and inform the highways what’s going on we do three a week you need to contact highways yourself and talk it through They will be able to give input usually they will give you times for work usually after nine and finish by 3.30 as you are not digging up the road if you are closing the whole road you are down for all diversion costs you traffic management price seems cheap
  3. 5yrs finance is about £500 a month on 27 k
  4. Stick welder inverter and some good rods mine will run 3.2mm good for most buckets
  5. That’s very cheap would be more round here
  6. For it to be worth writing the paperwork I’d have thought £10.00 a week/£2.00 a day for your insurance is a reasonable figure mines for four people 5 million pl 10 million el you should really be looking at 2.5/5 million public liability just to cover yourself
  7. Less!!!! mines nearly ten grand rip his arm off
  8. Afa rock are worth a look depending on budget, old style avant all metal no electrics and half the price
  9. Show us some pictures of bar and chain if you haven’t sharpened chain for 14 years could be your problem
  10. Try working in rail or the utilities if you want to know about form filling, however all of ours are now on a tablet and just box ticks with minimal writing and a signature space at the end there are ways to make it easier
  11. For once I have to disagree with you. To be in local government or national you have to have failed to make the grade to be employed in the real world or have failed having tried and gone into because it’s the only employment you can get, you are then promoted on your level of incompetence , or back scratching nepotism or brown enveloping I really believe the qualification to be in government should be 10 to 15 years holding down a job in the private sector just look at what a cock up all the career politicians from all parties have made over the last 30 years
  12. Don’t try to make things difficult looked on Amazon loads of chain more than one design £100 a pair ish plus import should get a set of four for less than £300
  13. Get a bigger bucket, simples
  14. Try it I couldn’t get to grips with it, I got a Cormidi loader it converts to a 1.5 tonne dumper and hire in a mini or load with my avant
  15. Tried one hard to use uncomfortable awkward to move don’t fold up and cost too much and why when a 1.5 tonne is £150 a week to hire
  16. It’s a very nice chipper !!! Back on topic
  17. If your going to use it for handling the reviews reckon track frames are short, not sure I would risk it, would the warranty be worth paper it’s on and the residual value will be dire, I wouldn’t want to buy on hp end up owing far more than it’s worth. no local dealer how long to fix when it breaks especially if you rely on it
  18. On a mini loader you only have a small amount of lit capacity if you put hydraulic rotation on the implement this reduces the capacity on the avant the rotator is 96kg and plus 200mm on the load so on 4/5/6 series you loose 10% of your lift capacity I thought hard and not bought one yet on the klou grab they don’t recommend hydraulic rotation for saftey reasons if you are holding a tree vertically and a pipe fails the tree is no longer vertical a hole world of hassle you don’t need. bmg grabs hang down so don’t have this problem
  19. Two machines secondhand are going to be best part of 25/30 k with a few attachments, the Vermeer attachments don’t fit avant/multione/ tobroco etc
  20. Front linkage with weight what tyres are you running rubber composition and tread pattern has an effect
  21. Klou grab if you are doing logs fixed tree grab for clearing up,bmg for brush into chipper
  22. Air burners are technically not difficult to fabricate basically a tin box pipe and compressor skipping and tipping isn’t cheap
  23. I thought treated timber was controlled waste so you need to separate your pile and don’t discount a air burner
  24. Your not comparing same machines but get a demo on both the Cormidi build quality is as good as the American machines and far better track system design had Vermeer and Cormidi side by side for two days also look at micro bull if you are want to work in back gardens they will give you a weeks demo and knock cost of machine if you purchase you can’t loose with a demo like that
  25. Designed and made in italy
