  1. Ok I need to have a floating rope retriever. I read somewhere about using a tennis ball with 2 slits cut in, put lowering rope through the slits, and above your timberhitch/clovehitch, with a carabiner above the ball, then an appropriate length of rope attached. Has anyone tried this method? The rope must obviously be as long as the how far the lowering point distance is away. Make sense?
  2. If you've got it, use it.

  6. There was a limb even closer to the road I took off on a 3rd tree with same anchor pint today, but no probs. The Stein will handle anything you throw at it. As long as the working load limit isn't breached. In fact, I haven't actually used mine yet as ive been climbing ha!
  7. 28 Poplar/willows to be dismantled next to motorway and wind rowed, two we did today, largish Willows, rigged them out with the 3001. Nice and windy at the end of the last tree. All the ones in the front 2 rows to come out.. Bad pictures.... Im waiting for my x170 to arrive god darnit. Would have had some good footage today.... Two large ones to do tomorrow.... then relax.
  8. Sounds good. What the rate for an experienced climber there then?
