  1. Done me first couple. Hope to be doing some more before the draw. All for a great cause. well done Steve
  2. Dont you bank on it. There is someone on this website (or used to be) who is being watched quite closely by the authorities following at least two thefts of tools/equipment, having been on the site of the thefts as a distraction as the theft was taking place, and he is not from that 'camp' but IS from that area.
  3. Back to "Celebrity", Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy,Amy,......................................in her bikini..............drooooooooooll!
  4. If you buy more than a certain amount you will get a considerable discount but I don't know how many that is (prob 40 or 50) (From Clarks) They are excellent to deal with and very rapid dispatch system.
  5. We have always charged 10% extra for anything shorter than our standard 10" log. More waste, more time, why should I put the extra time and losses in and be expected to absorb the cost?
  6. Clarks or Wilsons. Clarks would be best
  7. Will there be a raffle this year Steve? Looking forward to giving The Children's Trust a bit of my hard earned again
  8. There is a guy called Jason with a binderburger processor, lives near Cambridge/ newmarket but dont have his details. Contact Marshall Engineering in Sussex and they will be able to give you his details. 01892 770788
  9. Best thread I have seen on Arbtalk since I've been on here. Only just found it but really interesting.
  10. Used to live in a barn conversion and had this all winter. The bricks will get hot and stay hot for ages which is why they put bricks in storage heaters as they retain so much heat. To me, it sounds like you dont have anything to worry about, believe me, you will know if you have a chimney fire from the roar.
  11. Have you looked at the Tough Tracker. Indestructable and efficient.
  12. Really??? Thats 45 to the gallon at worst case scenario!! I am very surprised.
  13. Would make a great snake that has just eaten something!?
  14. That phone looks brilliant. If I hadn't recently changed, I would definately go for one. Two sim cards aswell so I assume that they could be on different networks which would be great in a forestry environment where you quite often have no signal at all on vodafone.
  15. I have previously made enquiries about this and the answer from 3 different manufacturers has been a resounding NO !! The lignin and cellulose comment was quite correct from what i remember. They wouldn't even consider sawdust as a fuel for them.
  16. Try this. Elveden Estate Instant Hedging Grown on the Norfolk and Suffolk Border in East Anglia I had some hornbeam 1.8m high from them last year in March and it is fantastic. They have all sorts of hedge species and various heights. Woodworm
  17. Certainly NOT my favourite!!! (Ash that is)
  18. Has anyone had any experience of the Stiga ride on articulated mower (Stiga Park), and if so what are they like reliability wise.
  19. Call Martyn Neve at Even Forestry. I have cut about 200 tonnes of 3.7 Larch this week near Thetford. Sure he could sort some of that for you if you can agree a price. 07860 859633
  20. Logs= Log grab Brash = BRASH GRAB Mixture=Brash grab. Clarke brash grabs are superb- speaking from experience
  21. For second hand forest machines you can't beat Finland/Sweden as their changed frequently and well looked after. Don't know about import costs though. They are also regularly worked round the clock with massive amounts of hours put on them, and then 'clocked'. It happens, believe me, and quite a lot!
