  3. Stunning transformation! That looked a tough one to do.
  4. Easy peasy mate, just saturate the water with salt in solution, weigh a litre of the liquid & use the liquid to run your test!
  5. Bump:biggrin:
  6. Oh,I agree with you there,it is the way forward on the points you raise.
  7. Wouter,I would agree that the T536LiXP cuts faster than the 150t & 260tes,(I have both these petrol saws),I like the Husky cordless having had one on trial for a couple of weeks.I was trying to adress Treespotter's post,& I suppose my points on the saw are that I found it slightly back heavy,& would realy like to see a smaller/carving bar on it for precision cuts. I very much like the Husky,& will consider buying one when it has been around for a while,& to see what competition turns up from the likes of Stihl.
  8. Well done Jenny, popped my penny in there too. Come on lads, lets double the target!
  9. Sorry,But I dont quite get the point, other than it being a smaller chain, with less cambium disturbance on softer barked trees. I would think a sharp chain with a fast speed is hard to better. Aside from this,I have been reducing some maples today with the ms150t today, the pointed bar & very small chain, combined with good chain speed gave excelent results,I would like to see a similar 'carving bar' on the husky saw. How does the husky saw compare with the likes of the 150t,or the small echo top handle on chain speed,& do you consider this relevent to cutting 'as well'?
  10. I agree, the bank bail out puts us all in debt,it has to be paid off by our taxes etc, they have not directly dipped into our acounts, but we are paying for it,& will be for years to come, alongside the national debt which is all but insurmountable. We are partly to blame as a lot of people just borrowed too much, the financial institutions encouraged this,& the gov at the time were at it more than anyone.
  11. Its a good little saw,& has a few advantages over petrol saws, such as quieter, faster run down off trigger,no pull cord to start etc,I was not overly taken by the balance of the saw. But no way will it be a saw for a take down, purely for pruning,& for that I prefer the 150t by a country mile.
  12. No way in this world does it cut as fast as a 200t,I have used both,so this is from the horses mouth.
  13. Whilst I respect the old bill,I had a bad doo with them a few years back,I had done no wrong & they knew it,yet one young twerp gave me a propper look & placed his hand over his spray holster,by that action he placed himself in harms way. He was purely after escalating the situation after realising there was not an issue, but took offence to solid eye contact. The other 2 cops were fine, but it only takes one.
  14. I generaly keep all tools in one location on site in clear view of us,& preferably in an area aproachable from a direction not benefiting potential thieves,a light chain with a combination padlock through the handles,so all staff can access the tools without a key. These thieves know that they can grab a saw & still outrun us,we wear boots not designed for speed, but three or four saws + fuel can & blower chained together disadvantages them to some extent. I was hit a few years back,my lockup was compromised & they took all my saws,(including 3 nice sachs dolmars),its no fun turning up at the yard to find everything gone.
  15. Good post Welwell.
  16. Very sad news & loss of a young life.
  17. The chains are so small, not a lot of tooth there, they only want a light brush over to keep them sharp. ya need your glasses on just to see them. But a cracking little saw,& mine has took a good pounding in a rough environment & is good as new. The air filter seems not to get clogged up too fast, but if it does go very gentle on the clean, dont brush it.
  18. Well,my mate got a job, just after she got confused about this.. IMG_0029 by geoff321, on Flickr But luckily once she realised it was just the company chunkey monkey,a fine upstanding member of the establishment, all was very well... IMG_0026 by geoff321, on Flickr

    Jokes???

During my physical examination, the doctor asked Me about my physical activity level. I said I spent 3 days a week, every week in the outdoors. "Well, yesterday afternoon was typical; I took a five hour walk about 7 miles through some pretty rough terrain. I waded along the edge of a lake. I pushed my way through 2 miles of brambles. I got sand in my shoes and my eyes. I avoided standing on a snake. I climbed several rocky hills. I took a few 'leaks' behind some big trees. I ran away from a pissed off mother bear and then ran away from one angry bull Elk. The mental stress of it all left me shattered. At the end of it all I drank eight beers and a tall glass of bourbon" Amazed by the story, the doctor said, "You must be one hell of an outdoors man!" "No," I replied, "I'm just a really shitty golfer".
  21. Nice one Eddie, just a thought, but would it help at your end if we were to pm you contact details of hort machine dealers that we use regularly in our different areas?
  22. You wont get much worth having for two hundred quid,I would contact Spud on here, see if he has a 200t kicking about.
