    Wasp nest !

These were euro wasps,I get an alergic reaction /hospital visit when they get me,frightening !
  3. I love my 200 rear handle for light snedding / chipper saw, The 460 is a great saw too.
  4. Just a thought, but try smearing a thin film of temp proof grease around the part of the filter cage that mates with the carb,or filter oil used on motocross bikes, once the thinning agent has evaporated this will leave a fine & very tacky dust catcher.
  5. Can thest be instaled on mid rope,or is it an end feed like the spiderjack? Sorry for the bone question peeps!
  6. Great site, going to browse that one !
  7. Spray it with roundup or such like first, give it time to do its job before cutting/rotavating,but Im sure someone who turfs proffesionally will be on soon mate.

    Wasp nest !

Liam, as an astute observer you will notice that I lingered a moment after the cut,if the nest had missed the bin I was getting in it instead!!
  9. RUPERT on here wrote a very good paper on this,pm him and see if he can let you have it,very comprehensive, brilliantly presented. Makes a good informative refference.

    Fail!

    Those L pops won't like that,what a terrible shame.
  11. Can also affect wingnuts,Once your seeing it and the leaves drop, bag them and burn or hot compost. A 3 inch layer of prunus chippings under the canopy will help a bit.

    Wasp nest !

They got wasp killer squirted through the lid,and a good stir with the rake handle, once they had quietened down.

    Wasp nest !

Might take a minute to buffer, but you may find it amusing ,they were already not happy,as I had pruned near it without seeing the nest, hence the swift kill!

    Wasp nest !

Hope this short vid uploads, didn't want to hold up a reduction,so put the bin on a stand, got my very slow maving acomplice to protect himself with the lid,and shut it when he heard the nest hit, never thought he could move so fast, finnished it off with a good squirt! This is posted purely for the humour ,in no way would I recomend it!
  17. OOps sorry!!! should have posted that one in the 'words of wisdom' thread!
  18. Me too! The proofs in the pudding, not the cloth it's wrapped in with some things,I only have to look at the wife to sustain this scepticism,
