  1. Can also affect wingnuts,Once your seeing it and the leaves drop, bag them and burn or hot compost. A 3 inch layer of prunus chippings under the canopy will help a bit.

    Wasp nest !

They got wasp killer squirted through the lid,and a good stir with the rake handle, once they had quietened down.

    Wasp nest !

Might take a minute to buffer, but you may find it amusing ,they were already not happy,as I had pruned near it without seeing the nest, hence the swift kill!

    Wasp nest !

Hope this short vid uploads, didn't want to hold up a reduction,so put the bin on a stand, got my very slow maving acomplice to protect himself with the lid,and shut it when he heard the nest hit, never thought he could move so fast, finnished it off with a good squirt! This is posted purely for the humour ,in no way would I recomend it!
  7. OOps sorry!!! should have posted that one in the 'words of wisdom' thread!
  8. Me too! The proofs in the pudding, not the cloth it's wrapped in with some things,I only have to look at the wife to sustain this scepticism,
  9. :001_smile:Thanks mate,good on ya!
  10. That would be nice mate, thanks. Like his mog, nice bit of kit.

    Wooden Ring

Nice turning mate, interesting how you efectively laminate the inner & outer to strengthen it,great stuff.
  14. I just ran a search here and phoned them up ! PR & Communications - Motor racing fuel & racing oil from Anglo American Oils UK: Suppliers of high performance motor sports fuels, oils & Lubricants.
  15. Just phoned & asked a few questions, got realy good answers too. The tax rating is the same as on pump fuel, which is as you would probably expect, would be great if this rate was to be reduced, but that is unlikely to happen. Great sounding product,I am going to use it purely to improve my working environment,at my age I'm fed up of feeling more like a bp blunder as the day goes on!
  16. Be very interesting to know what % of cost of aspen is tax,I'm going to fase aspen in on a couple of my tools to see how I get on with it,and I would think we have a legitimate right as a consumer to know what we are paying in tax on the fuel.
  17. Hi there all, I have been looking for aspen 2 stroke in essex,as I wish to use it by the 5litre. E.doe &sons colchester branch carry it,and some is to be stocked in the Ulting branch soon, thought I'd give it a go,and give others a heads up in case you are in these areas. Fed up with the choking fumes, mainly from my hedge trimmer & my 460.
  18. Hob nob creams mate:001_smile:.
  19. If you can get second hand stihl I would Liam. Having said that theres a second hand makita that could be worth a look; Makita PTR2500 long reach hedge trimmer on eBay (end time 19-Jul-10 17:13:02 BST)
  20. Thats a good detector Dean,my misses has the 705 xterra, yours will see 8 -10 inches into wood on nails no probs, just use all metal setting, otherwise you will discriminate out the nails. The minelabs are renowned for being deep detectors,if you have any probs setting it up theres a website ; www.minelabowners.com :: Index
  21. Reacon that could be hard to do,as to create a silhouette you realy need the subject dark and the background light in contrast
  22. Reakon he was lucky he clipped you rather than some jumped up muttonhead, well handled Dean.
  23. That wont rev if the chain brake is on, sounds like it is. Looks like an old nail too!
  24. Chuffed for you mate!
  25. Have a good one Dave, hope you & the tribe enjoy this evening!
