  1. LOL- I did the laundry today, as every sunday, and it seems that I make something on a sunday too and then post a pic on A-T!!
  2. You wait til its painted red...it'll stand out then alright:laugh1:
  3. I milled this monkey puzzle about 8 months ago, and have just used some of it to box in the hot water pipes from the rayburn. It has polished up beautifully, and as you can see there is a lovely bit of figure/ colour in it. Most of the knots have held fine....that might change after a few months round hot pipes mind...
  4. Yeah, or old money. The 'nouveau riche' are just morons.
  5. Too right Dave. That was what i had, and that is what Olly will have.
  6. Try working anywhere in Rock for the bankers........thay are total a-holes. Its hilarious though- they all seem to think that having a huge mortgage on a 2nd home and a BMW x5 gaymobile gives you class, whereas in fact it just makes them all seem like exactly what they are- overpaid chavs!!
  7. Heres a few of our cat with the dogs......its really weird. I havent come across a cat who loves dogs this much, and our dogs love the cat too...
  8. This is the third time this has happened recently to people I know. Ad15 had his disco3 drivers door done under security cameras, and he caught someone about to drive away a couple of days ago after he saw them open their door into his truck ......bang out of order IMO.
  9. Actually he was stand-in matron of honour for Lucy:lol:
  10. Big gob= longer hold= more control of fell IMO.
  11. Great pics. We love pics:biggrin: Welcome to arbtalk!
  12. TW dont have any faults at all do they:confused1:
  13. Aga Khan. Prince Charles. Lots of actors pads in north cornwall who i dont know, or care to know.
  14. I am really surprised to see you are having probs with the bandit- I was always led to believe that along with schleising and vermeer they are the best chippers. Sorry to hear it mate.
  15. Or vermeer. Never had that, except when i have used machines with bottom fed rollers. Vermeer 6" and 9" only have one top one. Much better design IMO.
  16. This thread is turning out to be hilarious!!!! I am 5'11", and 12.5stone (getting lardy!!!!) and that gives me a BMI of 22 on this website:Calculate Your BMI - Standard BMI Calculator

    what one

Mobnkey boys, from reading your threads, I would SERIOUSLY suggest that you attend some sort of college or chainsaw training course, as I fear that you are heading for major trouble, either in the manner of yours or someone elses safety (or even loss of life!!!!) or legal problems, and there are some massive fines in the offing if you arent careful..... You really cant just go out and buy a load of kit and start killing trees with no training of some sort (be it on the job or through a training provider) just on what you learn here. I cannot stress this enough.

    trees

???????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man- you cant just go round hacking down trees willy nilly!!

    rope

Just buy a ready made one- 37m or 45 are the commonest lengths. I, like most, have a selection, plus some short ones, usually long damaged ones cut in half etc. You can save money if you are ona budget by not having eyes sewn/ spliced on them too. As above- check out some of the sponsors on the right of the screen for the best prices.
  20. Thats nothing- i saw a thing on telly 2 nights ago about a big trawler........£22,750 in fuel in 5 days....for £450 ton of fish and a storm!
  21. I sold a dry one for about £30 recently. It was about 2' long and about 9" diameter, but had a split in it. A local turnery supplier sells 8" long 3" diameter logs for about a fiver each roughly, and they arent that dry...
  22. They love Laburnum, but as Dave says, they dont seem to value any wood.......unless they are selling it that is. LOL Keep it in as big pieces as you can. As long as it is big enough to have dark heartwood they will use it- even the small bits will go for light pulls and pen blanks.
