  1. Doont worry- Imerys tried that.....it lasted six months and they went back to Landrover. Did you know you can fit the whole of a ranger diff inside a landrover diff.... Its nowt to do with reliability, its to do with costs. Rangers are very very cheap compared to land rover, and parts are more expensive too..
  2. Milled one of the pieces about 2 days ago. Ill keep you posted...
  3. Wow mate, thats an amazing holly. The tallest i have ever seen in the deep valleys in cornwall ws about 25 foot- about 9m? It was in appalling condition and being held up by an oak.

    Stihl 066

I have never heard that a coil can be faulty. I think that your intermittent fault could have been coil related, such as one of the points where a wire connects to or exits from the coil being worn etc, but they just do not have intermittent faults as such. I have had this out a couple of times with different service engineers (2 of which have about 80 yrs experience between them).
  8. Or some of the Echo/ robin machines. They are petrol admittedly, but better than stihl i believe. Get your tennis elbow treated before you end up having to take 6 months off work because your hand wont work like i did...
  9. I swear by Woodwarm, or anything made by aga/ rayburn. The two mentioned above are also good.
  10. Not sure what safety feature CAN be fitted to a mizer..... My mill has nothing that might resemble a safety feature....
  11. MAX 50/ day Matt. I know of a groundie with 30/ 31, his own saw and PPE, excellent attitude, and in his 20's, who is chuffed to bits with 50 a day.
  12. No i totally agree. Fire retardent doesnt mean it wont burn. it just means that it wont go up at the slightest provocation.
  13. here it is...Connaught heading for administration
  14. Connaught are into liquidation though i think...Heard it on radio 4 today..
  15. You would need direct flame to set that thing on fire steve. You need ocer 430 degrees before paper will ignite, let alone leather. Even a spark will have a hard job to light it up. Wiithout meaning to belittle any inherent dangers, the nannny state we live in has hyped up the danger way out of proportion. We have furniture inches away fom the fire in the winter and it often gets too hot to touch. No fire yet. Its as much a matter ofcomon sense as anything else. In fast i stack wood around the burner which regularly smoulders. When i smell it i move it.
  16. NIce.... This was a pretty impressive bit of kit. A 44002!!
