    Losing keys

lol.....I have had that recently, lost truck keys so had to use spare but they didn't have key to ladders to had to cut the locks of...only to find they were in the misses car, doh.
  3. I have to say, I have always done forestry and just moved into tree surgery. Forestry is definatly harder work physicly but tree surgery is alot harder on H&S and paper work, working with the public, is it ever worth the hassel?
  4. Dito always thought it would be a great idea to visit a few companies, not so much to work for them but to see how it all changes aroung the country, two years ago a did a simalar thing on push bikes but visited different breweries took 2800 miles (most of them drunk).
  5. How's it all going steve? any interest?
  6. we have covered this before.. it's a clever (if not boring) campagne to stop wasting paper in the office. got to love them for taking it this far though lol.
  7. Hi, on this site we all try and hold back on slagging people off and unappropriate language. It seems you have an instant problem with the french way of doing things so why not go it alone or try and get on an english team then you can do it your way.. you have to remember that in everyones eyes (including the french) a short course on tree work doesn't mean that you know anything about the world of arborists, you need to think realalisticly and start from the bottom, take some rubbish and work your way up to earn respect from the locals. Just my way of thinking.
  8. Logs | Hardwood Logs Supplier | Seasoned Logs Suppliers | UK Logs2U ummm
  9. When everyone is going national seems the right thing to do...count me in.
  10. Next saw I get will have heated handel. Never really thought much about it when buying kit in summer, couln't think about anything else when working in snow.
  11. I think a trip to justins show should be on the cards you'll be able to get everones opinion and get a decent saw at a good price.
  12. Personly I would go for 088 and 170 then you have both basses covered lol. Seriously though I can reccomend 361 for life long fire wood saw.
  13. Hi martin, saws are all about preference I ofen find myself going for the lightest saw when in woodland because I know I have to handle it all day and you'll be supprised what the little ones will come with. Where abouts in Somerset are you, when I'm logging up next you can come and have a look at mine to get a feel for what you need to do the work. Alternativly a could come and look arround your land and offer an opinion.
  14. how much can the back carry? how much are you looking for?
  15. Umm swap for same year crew cab with truckman top
  16. Google it, I think there doing a free version at the moment.
  17. Have to say until recently have been doing it manually but (thanks to arbtalk) have gone with quick books so will speed it up a little and is so much easier to input.
  18. Have to say being VAT reg is really worth while and they are pretty quick to pay when they owe you money, though ask me in a months time as they are coming around to do a random check (last three years books plus wants to see all equipment and stock).
  19. Thats brilliant, like they say 'loose lips sink ships' lol
  20. I can't believe they spent so much time and effort coming up with 'save printing paper' campaign.

umm may give it a try lol
  22. You have to remember your working to your employers standards not yours, as a freelancer you should do as employer requires but if your standards dont meet each others then maybe dont work together again. Have to say I take on a few sub contractors and I always value there opinion and if they say there not happy with the job i make sure they stay there till they are happy with the job as that is why i have them working for me, i value there experiance.
  23. Dont worry i'm paying £1300 tpft for my ranger =, blame my bike licence for that.
